...would wait a solid quarter-century before trying to bring in a wanted war criminal, instead of a mere 10 years.
The dude knew he was wanted, was putting his family at risk by hiding with them, and shot himself rather than give himself up.

Having armed peacekeepers in Bosnia has in fact kept the country peaceful since the late 90's. One unfortunate bad shooting, which the accused could have prevented by giving himself up, doesn't change that fact. It's not as if civilians are being killed all over the place by EU peacekeepers, and they were being killed all over the place before the peacekeepers were there.
