Bush, Rice prepare for possible Israel trip
President, secretary of state clear schedule for early next week due to Sharon's condition; Rice cancels planned Australia, Indonesia trip, tells Olmert America praying for ill prime minister

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3196269,00.html

<snip>

"The U.S. State Department has announced that President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice have cleared their schedule for early next week in case they need to travel to Israel should Prime Minister Ariel Sharon die.

Earlier it was reported that Rice canceled a trip to Indonesia and Australia because of concerns over the condition of critically ill prime minister, said officials informed of the decision on Friday.

A U.S. official, who asked for anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the trip plans, said Rice did not "Want to be a long way from Israel should he die." A second official also confirmed the decision."

"Rice had been scheduled to leave for Indonesia on Saturday, where she was set to meet Indonesian officials and was then going on to Sydney, Australia, where she would have met foreign ministers from Japan and Australia."

1. They always leave out the GOOD bits ...
President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice have cleared their schedule for early next week in case they need to travel to Israel should Prime Minister Ariel Sharon die.

Ms. Rice is anxious to attend the services to be held in Israel, having heard of the fantastic deals one can get on Ferragamo shoes and other leather goods in the area. "Nothing triggers great discounts like the death of a head of state," she reportedly said to no one in particular.

President Bush will be marking the solemn occasion by clearing brush along the Gaza Strip. "It's the least I can do," he said, adding a heart-felt, "Heh, heh," which loosely translated into Hebrew means "You did a heck of a job, Shronie."

4. And will Condi be bringing her
Edited on Sat Jan-07-06 04:14 AM by pnorman
Dominatrix costumes? You betcha! And will anyone be within earshot of the moans and screams of ecstasy? Not likely. Nobody on that floor as well as the adjacent ones, other than Secret Service people. (Sworn to secrecy ... or else Camp Gitmo!)

7. That seals it, Sharon is dead
and they're keeping him on ice waiting for Bush and Condi to get their act together.

8. PM's condition unchanged Sat. - stable but serious
<snip>

"A day after Prime Minister Ariel Sharon underwent a third operation in two days aimed at relieving intra-cranial pressure, Sharon on Saturday remained heavily sedated and on respirator in intensive care unit, with doctors describing his condition as stable but still serious.

Sharon was taken for a procedural CT scan on Saturday morning to check for internal bleeding and examine intra-cranial pressure following the surgical intervention.

Israel Radio reported that the scan revealed no change in Sharon's condition. The full scan results will be given during an official press briefing by the spokesman for Jerusalem's Hadassah University Hospital, Ein Karem, at 6 P.M. on Saturday."

9. There is no way...
that these two isolated, insulated brats could prepare for anything. They can't even get their stories straight.

16. Unless they're on their way already
this makes no sense because Sharon must be buried within 24 hours. Maybe that's why the respirator is still on.
