Bush Urges Congress to Save Tax Cuts (radio address)
....In his broadcast, Bush also called on Congress to make permanent all the tax cuts passed at his urging earlier in his administration. Most are due to expire before or at the end of 2010.

With GOP leaders having had little success making the cuts permanent, the House and Senate are debating bills to extend some through the end of the decade.

Democrats particularly oppose extending the lower rates for capital gains and dividends.

"Some people in Washington said these tax cuts would hurt the economy," Bush said. "The day the House voted for tax relief in May 2003, one Democratic leader declared it a 'reckless and irresponsible tax plan that will undermine opportunity in our country.'

There's even an on-message dem quote about the repub budget bill:

The GOP is advancing "an ideologically driven, extreme, radical budget," Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid of Nevada said after the bill passed. "It caters to lobbyists and an elite group of ultraconservative ideologues here in Washington, all at the expense of middle-class Americans."

2. He's like a freaking wind up doll - no matter what, he says tax cuts
it's almost humorous, if things weren't so serious.

Terror bombing? Tax Cuts
Illegal Spying? Tax Cuts
Party indictments up and down the chain? Tax Cuts
Dumping your own nominee due to wingnut pressure? Tax Cuts
Losing an entire US city and coastline? Tax Cuts

I'm just waiting for him to say we won't bring any troops home from Iraq until those obstructionist Dems in Congress pass his tax cuts.

8. how much do these snots really support the war?
"Over time it's going to be important for nations to know they will be held accountable for inactivity," Bush said. "You're either with us or against us in the fight against terror."

But whenever it comes to paying the bill "ohhh, please don't raise my taxes!"

Another pro-war freeper said to me.."Even if I oppose paying the death tax, that doesn't mean I'm against the war!" :eyes:

4. Corporate rich won't pay for their failed elective war
The sign of a completely corrupt elite. Not only did the violate the Nuremburg rule and the UN Charter, they won't even pay to support it or their own county.

7. They've long since sucked dry this Nation's once ' milk' of wealth.
...at least from the common man.

The 'big guys' got THEIR 'rations' stashed plenty for leaner times...which ARE inevitable.

10. "Some people in Washington said these tax cuts would hurt the economy,"
And indeed they have. It's part of the reason why the economy has cratered & very few new jobs are being created; it's part of the reason we're in the 2nd Great Depression.
