W.House likes idea of Condi for president

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House likes the idea of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice running for president, even if Rice herself keeps saying no. At a time when Republicans like Arizona Sen. John McCain are openly pondering a run for president in 2008, Rice's name keeps popping up at the White House.

On Tuesday, when White House spokesman Scott McClellan was asked when the United States would have its first woman president, he noted Rice had just returned from the inauguration of Liberia's first woman president. "But I'll avoid going there because I think she's made her views clear. But I have my personal thoughts about what a great job she would do," McClellan said.

First lady Laura Bush told CNN International last week the United States would probably have a woman president in one of the next few presidential elections and that she would love to see Rice run. She noted, as well, "She says she definitely is not running." "Sure I'd love to see her run. She's terrific," the first lady said.

Rice has repeatedly ruled out running for president, saying she wants to return to California's Stanford University, where she was provost. "I don't have any desire to run for president. I don't intend to. I won't do it," Rice told ABC's "This Week" last March.

McCain's brown nosing and ass kissing got him nowhere with George Bush.

John McCain suck-up and trust in George Bush is only comparable to Charlie Brown believing over and over and over that Lucy would not pull the football out from under him again.

Rice is implicated in all of Cheney's crimes as much as he was.

George, Condi, Dick, Donald and Mr. Hadley are the team that must stick together.

The Bush family does not trust John McCain no matter how much he tries to earn it. They never will trust him either, but they sure do benefit from his "pleasing" year after year, don't they?

...the Condi is appointed V.P. in December 2006. That way, she can run as either the V.P., unless GW is impeached, then she runs as sort of an Incumbent.
