Man Testifies Rev. Jesse Jackson's Son Hit Him
LOS ANGELES -- A minister tearfully testified Thursday that he was scared for his life during and for several days after an alleged run-in with the Rev. Jesse Jackson and one of his sons during a business meeting four years ago.

The Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, 56, sued the activist-politician and Jonathan Jackson in January 2002, claiming he was roughed up and frightened during his encounter with them and other members of the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition.

The elder Jackson was expected to testify Thursday afternoon.

"I thought the guy was going to take me out," an emotional Peterson said of the younger Jackson, in giving his account of the Dec. 10, 2001, meeting held at the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce offices.

Peterson, who took deep breaths, put a hand up to his face and, later in his testimony, apologized to the jury for crying, said Jonathan Jackson approached him after the meeting and struck him in the left shoulder.

Some people tried to hold the younger Jackson back, he said.

7. After reading your post,I decided to take a quick google grab.Funny stuff!
This is from December, 2001:
Rev. Peterson claims he was shoved by Jesse Jackson's son, and that became a huge story on wacky-right Newsmax.com. Bill O'Reilly, whose obsession with Jesse Jackson should be analyzed by a psychiatrist, did a segment with Rev. Peterson on his Fox News hit show The Factor.

Rev. Peterson is a publicity hound, and even at this point in the story his attempts to garner media coverage by attacking Jesse Jackson are merely annoying and pathetic. What crosses the line into the truly absurd is this:

The next day a Newsmax.com headline blared "Civil Rights Leader Fears for Life After Jesse Jackson Confrontation." Wow, I thought, what else happened? What evidence does Rev. Peterson have to back up that charge? None, it turns out. Most appropriately, Rev. Peterson's ridiculous charge was made on the radio show of that master of the half-truth, Sean Hannity:

"After leaving that meeting Monday I realized that these people are so mean and desperate that they would take me out," Rev. Peterson told WABC Radio's Sean Hannity.

Then Peterson warned, "Sean, if anything happens to me I want you to make sure you turn this tape over to the authorities and have them look into Jesse Jackson's organization or anybody that's connected with him.

"Jackson may not personally do it himself," Peterson said, "but I personally believe that he would order it done."
(snip/...)

You're right. He's a right-wing looney-toon. He's been trying to get a Jackson for years.

9. Is this him?
Isn't this the guy?

Personally, I find him and his writings to be more scary than anything I've heard from Rev. Jesse Jackson.

"I thought the guy was going to take me out," an emotional Peterson said of the younger Jackson, in giving his account of the Dec. 10, 2001, meeting held at the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce offices.

Are you kidding me? Rev. Jackson's son is going to "take you out" in the LA Chamber of Commerce? What a joke!

national stage a few years back. His mission:Be the designated black man to trash Jesse Jackson because O'Reilly was being called a racist for going overboard in his accusations against the civil rights leader.

Before he got this guy doing his dirty work, O'Rielly was on a Jesse Jackson feeding frenzy. In his mail-bag segment, Bill read a few letters that accused him of being a racist for going after Jesse.

It appeared at the time that the crazy loon pictured above was the answer to Bill's prayers.

13. When this guy gets tired of attacking Jesse Jackson for a living
he might consider teaming up with Fred Phelps. That would be some act.
