US troops kill 3 Iraqi soldiers north of Baghdad
BAGHDAD, Jan. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- U.S. troops opened fire at civilian cars Saturday night in Baiji town, some 200 km north of Baghdad, killing three people, who turned out to be U.S.-trained Iraqi army soldiers, a source from the Iraqi-US liaison office in Tikrit told Xinhua on Sunday.

"The Multi National force opened fire last night at four civilian cars travelling on the main road between Tikrit and Baiji, setting fire to all the cars," the source from the Joint Coordination Center in Tikrit said.

The U. S. shoot-out killed three people and wounded four others and the U.S. soldiers detained six other people, who turned out to be Iraqi soldiers travelling to their base in Samarra in the south of the country, the source said.

He said the Iraqi soldiers' cars were surprised by a U.S. military convoy travelling wrongly on their side of the two-side road and opened fire.

7. Doesn't "multi-national force" sound so innocent?
For most people who just glance at the news, they would assume its those Poles, Italians or whoever else signed on to this fiasco.

8. The only thing multi national about this incident
Is that US troops killed Iraqi soldiers. There is no mention of any other nationalities being there.

Iraqi police say US soldiers kill three civilians

TIKRIT, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Iraqi police accused U.S. soldiers on Sunday of shooting dead at least three civilians after an attack on their patrol, but the U.S. military said the dead men were insurgents.

The differing accounts of the shooting on Saturday in the town of Baiji, 180 km (110 miles) north of Baghdad, is not uncommon in such incidents in Iraq.

Lieutenant Colonel Najim Ahmed of Baiji police said four civilians had been killed and six wounded when U.S. soldiers fired at a passing car filled with civilians after a roadside bomb exploded nearby.

"U.S forces began shooting randomly. Civilians were in the car," he said.

doing it here instead. Besides I'm getting too old for all that traveling and marching. Once a year maybe, but this is much more effective, especially now that the M$M refuses to cover these events anyway.

19. Yes. We just wiped out one third of their crack fighting force.
Who, as it will turn out, were actually and factually
Al Qaida operatives. Either that or we are having yet another
war crime field day.

18. USA demeans the Iraqis by calling them "Sand-Niggers" and Ragheads"
.
.
.

So they ain't "human" to these young brainwashed kids . .

and as for the civilians

they ain't "people"

they are "collateral damage"

All that destuction of Baghdad to kill Saddam, yet he sits in a courtroom - Billions in missiles and bombs, untold destroyed Iraqi lives as a result of this invasion

When will it stop??

Well, in my opinion

not until someone stops the USSA WarMachine

So, I as Canuk, am counting on the Russians and China to protect the world, NOT the USA

Now THAT's a huge turnabout since BB (Before Bush)

(sigh)

24. Didn't Bremer change what side of the road they drive on? I swear
I remember reading that back when he was King. Part of the 100 "Bremer Orders" before he high-tailed it outta there. Probably still causing havoc in the streets.
