Bush Says Good Intel Needed to Find Enemy ;-)
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060123/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush

MANHATTAN, Kan. - President Bush said that those seeking to attack the United States cannot be appeased and terrorists must be destroyed.

Speaking at Kansas State University, the president said that the war on terror is an "ideological struggle" against an enemy that has a "view of the world that is the exact opposite of our view of the world."

"The United States must confront threats before they cause us harm," he said.

Bush reiterated his belief in preemptive action to thwart threats to the United States and he again defended his decision to go to war in Iraq and oust Saddam Hussein as a necessary part of the war on terror.

20. It's downright embarrassing to see these things, isn't it?
You'd think the photographers would refuse to do it, out of respect for the human race. Jesus.

It just makes you shudder.

8. I like how intelligence became a euphemism for the opposite
I think the biggest problem facing the loyal opposition is semantically disentangling ourselves from neologisms like "Homeland" (Vaterland?), "signing statement" (pissing on Article I Sec. 7 of the Constitution), "War on Terror" (War #3 on a capitalized improper noun); just by using these expressions, (most) Dem pols endorse a world view that didn't exist in 1999. Carville talks about "framing the debate", but perhaps the first step is framing a vocabulary (besides BFEE and Chimpeachment).

10. translators
I hope that we are zeroing in on suspicious American citizens for surveillance and wiretaps. :sarcasm:

Our real enemies just won't do us the courtesy of speaking English, and we don't have any translators.

They hate us for our freedom to speak out against tyranny.

28. Hmmmmm. Coming up on 5 years out from 9/11
and still we don't have Osama Bin Laden. Oh! And that terrorist money laundering case in Florida, correct me if I am wrong, not guilty on all counts. Oh sure, we've gotten a few Al Queda number threes, then another no.3, then another no.3, then another no.3. You get the idea.

Sure sounds like "good intel" to me!!
