Bush says sees risk of Iranian nuclear blackmail
http://today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=newsOne&storyID=2006-01-23T195413Z_01_L23429838_RTRUKOC_0_US-NUCLEAR-IRAN.xml

He also had a message for the Iranian people, saying "we have no beef with you," and expressing hope that Iraq's fledgling democracy could serve as an example for nearby Iran.

would an Iranian know what a "beef" is?

9. I was thinking the same thing. The chimperior sounds like a gang member!
"We have no beef with you"! Sounds like a gang member talking to another gangs member. Well then again Bushco is made up of a bunch of thugs. They lie, steal & kill and are part of a group. Yep they makes them a gang.

3. My head is spinning.
--"we have no beef with you,"--

...as the not so precision guided bombs fall from the skies above.

Watch out, I hear al-Zarqawi's equally evil twin brother is setting up operations in Iran.

"Al-Qaeda in Iran," you heard it from me first.

Or make them eat pork, or something. How well would this translate into Farsi?

20. Someone forgot to let ElBaradei in on the time table for that one.
One month can make all the difference in the world. :eyes: This just seems soooo transparent.

snip>

Western powers have urged IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei to make a broad accounting of Tehran's nuclear project to the special IAEA meeting they called for February, rather than wait for a regularly scheduled March 6 session.

U.S. and EU officials believe a full report would help them persuade skeptical Russia, China and developing states on the IAEA board to vote at the February gathering for referral.

But ElBaradei, replying to U.S., EU and Australian letters, said he had given Iran until the March meeting to answer questions in IAEA inquiries into its nuclear project, which it concealed from U.N. inspectors for almost two decades.

snip>

Diplomats close to the IAEA say ElBaradei disagrees with the Western thrust for referral now, believing further direct talks with Iran and IAEA investigations could still rein in Tehran before a volatile showdown in the Security Council.

16. Best way to attack the civil war in Iraq is by having a civil war in Iran?
Might work out in our favor, but what happens if it backfires and spreads to Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and around the world?

Dem basssids could defend themselves from ill-conceived oil-grabbing invasions iffn' they had newks. Wouldn't be prudent.

21. According to Con logic, it's okay to kill people as long as you don't
target them.

What Bush is saying is: "We are going to kill a whole lot of Iranians soon, but our bombs are really-really good at only targeting the bad guys. If you die, than it's okay because you weren't the one targeted."
