Chavez right hand Man, tells Mccain to go to HELL.

Jose Vicente Rangel was responding to McCain's statement on Sunday that America must explore alternative energy sources to avoid depending on Iran or "wackos" in Venezuela — apparently a reference to Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

51. Luis Posada Carriles said, in a NY Times interview, that they have
financed his various bombing attacks. Not much to be proud of, is it?
The ability of CANF to play its high level political lobbying role depends heavily on its continuing denial of any involvement in terrorist activities. However, CANF has, on more than one occasion, been caught with traces of explosives on its hands.

Cuban agent, Percy Francisco Alvarado, infiltrated CANF and testified during the trial of the Miami Five that he had been offered more than $15,000 by the Foundation to set off two large bombs in Havana tourist centres in the mid 1990s. The Cuban agent went along with the plan long enough to pick up the explosives in Guatemala from Luis Posada Carriles, a CIA-trained Cuban exile who'd spent nine years in a Venezuelan prison for his involvement in bombing a Cuban passenger plane in 1976. Seventy three people died.

In 1997 a series of bombs were planted in hotels and restaurants in Cuba in an attempt to ruin the island's tourist trade. A bomb set off in the Copacabana Hotel in Havana killed an Italian tourist. Two Salvadoran and three Guatemalan mercenaries were convicted of the bombings, and Posada Carriles admitted publicly he had supplied explosives to the men. One of the Salvadoran mercenaries, Raul Ernesto Cruz Leon, confessed he was paid $3000 by CANF for each bomb he planted. At one point Posada Carriles also said publicly that the bombings were supported by CANF, though he hastily retracted his statement after CANF issued vehement denials. Cuban intelligence then discovered that Carriles was planning another assassination attempt on Castro during the Cuban president's visit to the 10th Ibero-American Conference in Panama in November 2000. Panamanian police subsequently apprehended four men, including Carriles, and discovered their hire car was packed with explosives. Carriles is presently in a Panamanian prison awaiting trial.

The clearest evidence that CANF are heavily involved in terrorism came in November 1997 when US coast guards came across a boat called El Esperanza floundering with mechanical problems off the coast of Puerto Rico. The four men on board gave unconvincing stories of what they were up to and the boat was searched. In a false bottom US Customs found two .50-calibre long-range military sniper rifles, 70 rounds of ammunition, night scopes, three fatigue uniforms and communications equipment.

US Customs Agent Marco Rocco testified that one of the men admitted they were on their way to assassinate Castro in Venezuela. The boat was registered to Nautical Sports, a Florida based company of which CANF director, Jose Antonio Llama, is president, director, secretary and treasurer. The vessel had left Florida from a private dock owned by Llama's friend, Marco Antonio Sainz, a business partner of CANF's treasurer, Feliciano Foyo.

According to an FBI document, one of the sniper rifles found on board La Esperanza was licensed to none other than Francisco Hernandez, CANF's president.
(snip/...)

It definitely identifies people when they would use CANF material on a message board. Anyone sensible would have nothing but contempt for these monstrosities.

That site actually has a recording of F.D.R. claiming "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Too bad they had to lower themselves for a quote from a Democrat.

The best one they could get from a Republican is "I am not a crook," or "It seems there's rumors on the internets" or ""There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

There's millions of working poor in Venezuela whose idea of hell is slowly dissipating thanks to Chavez. The same can be said for the tens of millions throughout Latin America who no longer are captive to US neoliberal market colonialism. paragraph by throwing in additional pre-digested "news:"
"It looks like they have nothing else to do in the United States," Rangel said, adding that the Americans have "so many problems, 40 million poor people, 30 million drug users, and an American senator is paying attention to us. He can go to hell."

21. thanks very much
I wasn't sure if McCain was literally told to go to hell.

Isn't it strange that we always hear about a dictatorship, and dangerous leftists and wackos and so on, about Venezuela. And yet they never, never, ever tell us why an elected leader is a dictator, or why being a leftist is bad, or why Chavez is dangerous or wacked or anything else. And of course that's because there's not an ounce, not a jot or tittle of evidence to support any of this crap.

And yet, that's how our mainstream media reports it, dutifully. Odd how you never hear that Chavez is a follower of liberation theology, and his understanding of Jesus' teachings tells him to favor the poor over the rich. Funny how we never hear that this is apparently his driving motivation.

23. leftist
So many of the problems created in our country by the righties goes back, I believe, to the extreme hatred of communism of McCarthyism and Reagonism. No, I don't support communism but what they really hate is any kind of socialism. Socialism stands against capitalism and capitalism is the hallmark of the authoritarian, big-business righties. They hate Social Security and any semblance of welfare. In essense, they hate the common man, especially if he threatens to get any of their ill-gotten gain. In the end, I believe, there are two kinds of political orientation--authoritarian and humanitarian. And, of course, authoritarians love the wrathful God of the Old Testament, who smites all enemies and publishes a list of ultimate commandments for the sheeple, demands that women submit to their husbands and children yield to the father at all times. This is patriarchy, supported by the all-powerful white man, who punishes any dissent.

Get back to me, John, when you've solved the issues of storage, transportation and security of nukes and waste that is toxic in the environment for thousands of years.

snip:
"We've got to get quickly on a track to energy independence from foreign oil, and that means, among other things, going back to nuclear power," the Arizona senator said on Fox News Sunday. "We better understand the vulnerabilities that our economy, and our very lives, have when we're dependent on Iranian mullahs and wackos in Venezuela."

57. LOL.
This kills me.

Idol worship has gotten to the point that if you don't show ENOUGH respect as determined by his admirers you should be attacked for it.

Strong man I could see a problem with but leader?

Perhaps he should always be refered to as his excellency from now on to clear up any confusion.

73. Go to hell, McCain!
Here where we languish under the misrule of a duopoly bought and sold by corporations, we can only dream of having a leader as fine as Chavez.

I'd trade 9/10 of seated Democratics for him in a heartbeat. Problem is, nobody'd take 'em.
