CNN: Gerald Ford released from hospital
Gerald Ford released from hospital
Ex-president had been hospitalized for pneumonia
Wednesday, January 25, 2006

RANCHO MIRAGE, California (CNN) -- Former President Gerald Ford was released Wednesday from the hospital where he was treated for pneumonia, his spokeswoman Penny Circle said.

The 38th U.S. president had been hospitalized at Eisenhower Medical Center in Southern California since January 14.

Ford, 92, was taken to the same hospital in December for tests. Circle would not say what type of tests.

The one-time football standout also was hospitalized in 2003 after he became dizzy while golfing in 96-degree heat. In 2000, he was rushed to a hospital when he had a mild stroke while in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for the Republican National Convention....

4. I wonder what his copay is...
An overnight stay in the hospital costs me $1,500 out-of-pocket...

KansDem, in ER after a fictitious but serious accident: "Send me home NOW!"
Hospital spokesperson: "But your leg's broken in three places, you have a concussion, and two ribs are fractured, causing a punctured lung and other internal injuries!"
KansDem: "But I'm getting better!"

8. I REMEMBER
I never thought i would pine away for THAT style of Republican Politics. I met President Ford twice when i was working for Aerospce Corp (he sat on the board) in LA. And a lot of people forget that the first line of President Carters inaguarl was (im paraphrasing) "I want to thank President Ford for all he has done to heal this land". Newsweek got a great picture of Ford Choking up. Ill take someone like Ford who was honest and tried over a lying sack of shit like Bush anyday.

The Ford Presidency seems like a golden age compared to the disgusting pigs we have in office now.

May he live long enough to see an honorable man take up his former job again.
