Judge Rejects Bush Effort in Schiavo Case
Florida Judge Rejects Effort to Dismiss Challenge to Law for Brain-Damaged Woman

TAMPA, Fla. Nov. 7 — A judge Friday rejected an effort by Gov. Jeb Bush to dismiss a challenge to the law that allowed him to order that a severely brain-damaged woman be kept alive over her husband's objections.

Bush's attorneys now have until Monday evening to file arguments defending the law, quickly passed and signed last month so that Terri Schiavo's feeding tube could be reinserted six days after her husband, Michael Schiavo, had it removed.

Michael Schiavo and the American Civil Liberties Union have sued Bush, saying the law infringes on Terri Schiavo's right to privacy and the separation of power provisions of the Florida Constitution.

he is using this case for publicity, just like his brother did with the death penalty and guns in TX. <ironic comment here>
The longer she lives, the more attention he gets. If she dies, she and he both, become martyrs. IF and thats a big IF, she recovers, he's the second coming of Christ.

He picked up this political ball because its a win,win,win the WH trumpet

3. sorta, but there is the downside. there's a lot of old people in florida
who don't want to die hooked to machines over decades.
