Iran accuses U.S., Britain and Israel of role in 2 plane crashes
<snip>

"Iran said Thursday it had information that the United States, Britain and Israel had a role in two deadly military plane crashes in the last two months.

It was the latest accusation by Tehran against the West in their sharpening confrontation. A day earlier, Iran blamed the United States and Britain for two bombings this week that killed at least nine people in southwestern Iran.

"The information we have says that the U.S, Britain and Israel's intelligence agents intended to create insecurity in Iran," Interior Minister Mostafa Pourmohammadi told reporters on the sidelines of a police seminar. "Even my evaluation says that the crash of our C-130 and Falcon planes was done by their design, or maybe electronic interference.

Pourmohammadi did not elaborate and did not give any evidence."

13. Palestine and Israel
I haven't been a great correspondent so far on your forum.

Anyway, when I look tonight, I do not instantly see any headlines about the Hamas victory in the Palestinian elections:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4650788.stm

Maybe this is an American thing, but it is imperative that the most important issues are addressed first.

If anyone is interested, there is a lively, British-based forum on all Serious Topics based at http://www.serioustopics.com - most significantly the Middle East and Bush's Second Term threads.

But don't all come at once.

3. Richard Clarke's book "Scorpions Gate"
takes on VERY similar narratives to "Plane Crashes" for war.

Bushco must be defeated in the Senate so Democrats can start over-site proceedings

9. I don't automatically believe that they are responsible.
There could be a number of reasons for these crashes.

4. If they get evidence, they should refer the US to the UN for sanctions
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 06:44 PM by leveymg
As it is, this seems to be the personal opinion of the Interior Minister. That's not a good thing, as it probably reflects the overwhelming consensus on the matter in Iran.

Regardless of whether these were accidents, the psyops campaign is real, and it is working.

6. From what I understand - embargos on airplane parts to Iran for the
last 25 years.. has caused their planes to be flying on a wing and a prayer. Why when they were trying to do deals in the late 1990s - in included "airplane parts".

So to say that the US is responsible.. is slightly true. Also true that if Iran had allowed for real democracy & human rights.. that the embargo would have been lifted.

How I heard it goes .. anyway.

will keep falling out of the sky there. How embargoes work. Probably the real reason why Iran is rattling the saber and trying to get into a situation where they can re-negotiate the status quo with the west.

14. Tell me how that embargo is not an act of terrorism?
And what about the inability to create a peaceful nuclear infrastructure? Isn't this a form of terrorism which will take on a form of oppression?
An act of terrorism at some level? Even if Iran has enough oil for power needs now, someday it will be depleted. What will they do for power? These days, power equals life.....period!

had a peaceful revolution and then followed the rule of law. Human Rights abuses too.

Fact is - You or I can choose to sell whatever to whomever. If Britain and the USA wanted some changes to the Iranians ... up to the iranians to negotiate that. They have supported terrorism. They have.

The Shaw was nothing to miss. Human rights violations all over the place there too.

11. How is this not an act of war if true?
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 07:49 PM by GHOSTDANCER
There seems to be recent so called accidents on the syrian boarder as well. If another country shot down anything over our airspace, There would be hell to pay. And we wonder why they would want nukes?

12. Not true. American & britain are responsible in that they have refused
to sell airplane parts to Iran for 25 years. Look into the history of Iran's sneaky deals on the side. There is a history of wanting airplane parts. Saddam wanted money with his sneaky deals. Iran wanted airplane parts.
