Coulter Jokes About Poisoning Justice (Stevens)
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Conservative commentator Ann Coulter, speaking at a traditionally black college, joked that Justice John Paul Stevens should be poisoned.

Coulter had told the Philander Smith College audience Thursday that more conservative justices were needed on the Supreme Court to change the current law on abortion. Stevens is one of the court's most liberal members.

"We need somebody to put rat poisoning in Justice Stevens' creme brulee," Coulter said. "That's just a joke, for you in the media."

Coulter has made a career of writing and lecturing on her strongly conservative views.

That woman needs to be stopped. I know there is a state law in Arkansas against what's called terroristic threatening - wouldn't that qualify? Someone needs to report it.

3. Stevens is not exactly liberal...
... and from his decisions, he's fairly pro-corporate, like most of the justices on the SC. What rankles Coulter is that he wrote the dissent in the 2000 election decision. For that reason, he gets some of her liberally-applied rancor.

Ann might try putting a sock in it before she gets what she didn't ask for.

John Paul Stevens will be listed in the history books because he is an associate justice. Coulter, after her demise, will not register much of anywhere. No matter what attention she attracts now, she is ultimately one of life's losers, on every level -- personally, professionally, morally, etc.

There was guy not long ago convicted for joking about "burning Bushes." Less severe, there was an Austin DJ fired for joking about assassinating Clinton and Gore (Didn't help her that the station is owned by LBJ's widow, who witnessed the last presidential assassination).

Is Stephens less protected because he's a SCOTUS justice or because Coulter is a conservative?

48. E&P: College Prez - Coulter's Conservative Answer to Lil' Kim
Edited on Fri Jan-27-06 04:51 PM by RamboLiberal
<snip>

Blacks "are the most loyal group for Democrats and you ought to be getting a little more out of them by giving them competition through the Republicans," Coulter said.

She hailed the nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court, suggesting that now there might be a fair vote on abortion.

Afterward, black students stood around "lashing" back at Coulter's "rhetoric," the newspaper said. One sophomore girl said: "We need someone on the Democratic side who just as outspoken as she is."

The college president, Walter Kimbrough, had told the audience that inviting Coulter to speak at the black school made sense because like hip hoppers she is "raw, outspoken, uncensored." He also called her the "conservative answer to rapper Lil' Kim -- attractive and sexy, long-haired blondes. ..."

Coulter said it was "the best introduction" she'd ever had.

62. I cannot understand why Ann Coulter gets media coverage from anywhere???
It should be obvious to anyone who listen's to her for a few minutes that she has very serious mental problems and I do not say this as a sarcastic comment.

If there is any truth with the bio of a great family life, her fantastic education, and the ability to latch onto the inner sanctum of the DC powerbrokers that could pave her way to success, why would any sane person speak and act as she does.

She tried to pass herself off as a constiutional scholar yet she speaks like a gutter-snipe. When she is hired/invited to debate or speak in university settings or round-tables, she goes off on manical ranting and raving about shooting, killing, poisoning, hanging, blowing people up, etc., etc. She totally loses it yet those around her continue to act like this is a normal and rational act.

Those that support Ann Coulter and those that attack her would never stand and attempt to debate or make fun of a homeless psycho who was mumbling, ranting and threating you on a street corner. Ann Coulter is a very fortunate psycho because she has found a way to become a functional working psycho. She and her family have no need to worry about her becoming homeless, finding and paying for good medical care.
The CON's have found a slot for her to fill and it allows her to travel first class. She is able to obtain her drugs of choice (alcholol &?). She is amply paid for her services.........the millions of families who have mental patient family members should have it so good.

64. And yet she still gets airtime
The fact that this woman hasn't been blackballed by EVERY broadcaster and cable "news" outlet is symptomatic about why this country has devolved into something that I no longer recognize and am deeply ashamed of.

65. Read this mAnn Coulter garbage...
ANN COULTER DEFINITELY HAS THE QUALITIES OF THE HIP-HOP GENERATION" -
President Walter Kimbrough "Lil Kim" Intro at Philander Smith College

Raw. Outspoken. Uncensored. Controversial. These words don’t simply describe an HBO documentary, they also are definitive of the hip-hop generation. While the hit, “Rapper’s Delight” was mostly a feel good song, early on in hip-hop the artists began to provide clear imagery of their conditions.

In 1982, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five’s “The Message” spoke to these struggles, and offered the warning, “Don’t push me cause I’m close to the edge, I’m trying not to loose my head.”

As an art form, many rappers began to more explicitly deal with issues and topics that mainstream America was not ready to handle. The rap group NWA, part of the late 1980s gangsta rap movement, released the hit, “F The Police” to express their frustration with the criminal justice system. Rapper Ice T, ironically now an actor playing a cop, released the even more controversial tune, “Cop Killer,” in 1992 with a metal band, incidentally called “Body Count.” The song was fueled by the emotions related to the Rodney King beating and acquittal of the police officers.

Today, hip hop continues to push the bounds of what the mainstream accepts. The gratuitous glorification of violence by 50 Cent, the drug dealing exploits of Pusha T and Malice of the group, The Clipse, the sexual “play” of David Banner, and even the family violence of Eminem suggests that, at least lyrically, hip hop is about saying what you feel, and “forget you” if you don’t like it.

Even Kanye West, cover boy for Time Magazine last August who was described as “the smartest man in pop music” (not just hip hop), will be on the cover of tomorrow’s Rolling Stone Magazine pictured as Jesus, crown of thorns and all, under the title, “The Passion of Kanye West.” He caught America and Mike Myers off guard less than a week after the Time issue hit the stands. Did you see it? It went something like this:

Myers: The landscape of the city has changed dramatically, tragically and perhaps irreversibly. There is now over 25 feet of water where there was once city streets and thriving neighborhoods.

West: I hate the way they portray us in the media. You see a black family, it says, "They're looting." You see a white family, it says, "They're looking for food." And, you know, it's been five days because most of the people are black.

He then shared that now infamous phrase, George Bush doesn’t care about black people.

This was live TV. Raw. Outspoken. Uncensored. Controversial. If Bless the Mic is really going to be a hip-hop president’s lecture series, it has to have these characteristics from time to time. I asked myself, “Who should I bring with those qualities, especially to a historically Black college affiliated with the United Methodist Church?”

Only one came to mind- Ann Coulter.

Ann Coulter, a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Michigan School of Law, is author of four New York Times best selling books, including her latest, How to Talk to a Liberal (if you must). She is the legal correspondent for Human Events and writes a popular syndicated column for Universal Press Syndicate.

She is a frequent guest on many TV shows, including Real Time with Bill Maher, Larry King Live, and Hannity and Colmes, and has been profiled in Time Magazine and Harper’s Bazaar. She was named one of the top 100 Public Intellectuals by federal judge Richard Posner in 2001, and last year ranked as the top woman in the Conservative

71. The "Wisdom" of Ann Coulter
Why am I not surprised that this asswipe is now suggesting the murder of a Supreme Court judge? I hope that this invitation to murder Justice Stevens will further marginalize her. Here are a few of Mann's other witticisms:

"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity." (re Muslims after 9/11)

" masturbates in the sinks."---Rivera Live 8/2/99

"God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, 'Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours.'"---Hannity & Colmes, 6/20/01

The "backbone of the Democratic Party" is a "typical fat, implacable welfare recipient"---syndicated column 10/29/99

To a disabled Vietnam vet: "People like you caused us to lose that war."---MSNBC

"Women like Pamela Harriman and Patricia Duff are basically Anna Nicole Smith from the waist down. Let's just call it for what it is. They're whores."---Salon.com 11/16/00

Juan Gonzales is "Cuba's answer to Joey Buttafuoco," a "miscreant," "sperm-donor," and a "poor man's Hugh Hefner."---Rivera Live 5/1/00

On Princess Diana's death: "Her children knew she's sleeping with all these men. That just seems to me, it's the definition of 'not a good mother.' ... Is everyone just saying here that it's okay to ostentatiously have premarital sex in front of your children?"..." an ordinary and pathetic and confessional - I've never had bulimia! I've never had an affair! I've never had a divorce! So I don't think she's better than I am."---MSNBC 9/12/97

"I think there should be a literacy test and a poll tax for people to vote."---Hannity & Colmes, 8/17/99
