Cops raid High School with guns drawn |
|
Have you seen this film yet? It's appeared on the news tonight. The High School Principal in Goose Lake (state?) decided that he wasn't going to allow drugs into his High School, so he invited the police to use 'his' High School like a SWAT training facility. The entire incident was filmed by the security cameras. That film was show on TV tonight. It shows dozens of students sitting up against the corridor walls, while several cops stomp around with their pistols drawn. You'd think Dylan Klebold was on the loose again. Instead, the cops were actually looking for drugs. Marijuana specifically. The cops even used a drug sniffing dog that indicated that twelve backpacks contained marijuana. No drugs were found. Parents are upset. I am upset. Who does this guy think he is Bull Connor? The film even showed one kid being tossed to the floor by the cops, and then one of the cops kneeled on the kids back. This country is really going downhill quickly.

6. If you send your child to this prison camp... |
|
...you'll only rue the decision later, when immersion in this kind of environment works the inevitable effects of demoralization, desensitization, and acculturation to official violence.
Bribe or beg if you must - but in any event send the child to a school which does not draw its ethos from Guantanamo Bay.

5. I think that this raid |
|
was violent. I think the kids will be angry about this and it might get rough now if it wasn't before.
Another thing they were not thinking about is some kids have health issues that could be triggered by something like this. My son has asthma and if something like this happened at his school, he could very well have an attack and not be able to get his inhaler. My daughters friend has a heart condition, pacemaker. They were lucky nothing serious happened.
