Some 81 percent of the 46 million uninsured living in families in which someone works, but fewer U.S. employers are offering health insurance, Stateline.org reported Friday.
Many of the governors facing tough re-election bids want to have all children insured under the State Children's Health Insurance Program, a program approved during the Clinton administration that calls for states providing a health insurance program for families who earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid, but can't afford private insurance for their children.
