Governors trying to provide health insurance
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=f124d51d530355fd

About a dozen governors are trying to provide some type of health insurance for millions of Americans who work but have no access to healthcare.

Some 81 percent of the 46 million uninsured living in families in which someone works, but fewer U.S. employers are offering health insurance, Stateline.org reported Friday.

Many of the governors facing tough re-election bids want to have all children insured under the State Children's Health Insurance Program, a program approved during the Clinton administration that calls for states providing a health insurance program for families who earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid, but can't afford private insurance for their children. It provides eligible children with coverage for regular checkups, immunizations, prescription drugs, lab tests, X-rays and hospital visits

These Governors see the crisis looming...where Bush no where...

1. Stupid's health care plan: pray
because he wants corporations to cut off your insurance and you to bear the full cost of a broken, overpriced and cruel system.

I remember his 2000 campaign when his solution for a desperately ill Medicaid patient was to tell her that he wanted a magic wand to wave to make her well.

He's all magical thinking, nothing practical. That's why he's such a damned failure.

2. CHIP is a great program, BUT
parents need access to medical care too. To say that a sick child deserves care, but not his mother/father, is insane:(

Every person..young/old/rich/poor/employed/unemployed deserves medical care when they are ill or injured..

3. That equates to roughly 37 million uninsured working families.
Your doing a fine job 43.
