1. Expect
A readjustment in the death and injury figures any day now, it's been massaged to a very large extent, as to teflon Tony feeling happy, as long as he has enhanced his place in history he wont lose a moments sleep.

2. .
The whip-crack of a Union Jack
In a stiff breeze (the ship will roll),
Deft abracadabra drums
Enchant the patriotic soul-

A grandsire in St James's Street
Sat at the window of his club,
His second son, shot through the throat,
Slid backwards down a slope of scrub,

Gargled his last breaths, one by one by one,
In too much blood, too young to spill,
Died difficultly, drop by drop by drop-
'By your son's courage, sir, we took the hill.'

They took the hill (Whose hill? What for?)
But what a climb they left to do!
Out of that bungled, unwise war
An alp of unforgiveness grew.

- William Plomer

4. While I hate brining it down to figures, it's about the same percentage
138,000 - 2200 dead, 15,000 wounded
8000 - 100 dead, estimated 4000 wounded

5. I'm listening to a UK radio station here at work and this 100th
death is putting the British officials on the defensive. The mother of this kid is very unhappy.

Some cluck from the government is spouting crap about how they will not withdraw because the continuation of the fighting in Afganistan and Iraq and the conquest of the area will make the whole world safer. The guy's a clueless twit.

6. " BRING EM ON" shouted the Chimp and the Poodle
As the Poodle licked the Chimp's hand
