IAEA confirms Iran prepares for nuclear enrichment

VIENNA, Jan 31 (Reuters) - The U.N. nuclear watchdog confirmed on Tuesday that Iran had begun preparing for nuclear enrichment, which can make fuel for bombs, and continued to hinder a probe of unanswered questions about Iran's atomic aims.

In a confidential report to the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) board of governors, the agency said Iran had not yet begun enrichment itself but had started renovation work at its Natanz enrichment site.

Iran also prevented U.N. inspectors from questioning a key scientist linked to the procurement of equipment that could have been used to make weapons and did not let the IAEA copy documents related to the production of nuclear weapons, the report said.

3. As far as we know, Iran is still in 100% compliance
That is the main thing.

Oil Bourse is still the real issue.
Of course, if the AIPAC/likud/pnac bunch can fool us into invading Iran using a bogus casus belli, they are all for that.

6. Or, how many of Bolton's fingerprints are on the IAEA by now?
Although, all the statements could be reasonable if actual details would not warrant the way this article puts its statements.

Did they demand to see the guy while he was in a locked chamber, or the bathroom?
Is renovation work normal? They are upgrading.
Could they not make copies because they HAD NO papers related to production of nuclear weapons?

Lots of money at stake. Profit from twisting the truth can be too tempting.

7. bushco. will TRUMPET even the slightest of criticisms as
some sort of DOOMSDAY scenario. 'Iran neglects to dot three 'i's in NUCLEAR document!'. i'm still holding out hope the IAEA won't give bush the wiggle room he so desperately wants. and funny how, in all this talk, i've yet to hear even ONCE the fact that iran has every right to nuclear energy under the nonproliferation agreement.
