Haiti election may pave way for Aristide's return
Feb 5, 2006

http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=1582003

MIAMI (Reuters) - Haiti's return to free elections when it votes for a new president on Tuesday may not go down well with the U.S. government, for all its talk about building democracy around the world, analysts say.

That's because the front-runner in the chaotic Caribbean country's presidential race is Rene Preval, a protege of ex-President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.

Bush administration officials accused Aristide of despotism, and many Haiti experts say he was undermined by Washington in the run-up to his ouster in February 2004.

It's not nice to cross Condoleezza (sic) Rice.

3. Anyone see the Discovery Times Channel special on Haiti?
It was a pretty dam good account of what happened and how the Bush regime overthrew the democratically elected Aristide - who was the first person in like over a 100 years to be elected in that poor country.

4. Levi's Will Not Allow A Return To Aristide's $1.50 A Day Minimum Wage.
The C.I.A.'s "National Endowment for Democracy" murder squads
will continue to fight on to protect the
third and forth tier sub-contractor slave factories
churning out formerly 'made in America' Levi clothing.

5. Keep this out there; we once again interferred in a country which
had democratically elected someone the Bushistas did not like. Protection of his life, in my feeble opinion, is the reason that Chavez is so outspoken.

7. So ABC News thinks free elections are *not* Democratic?
I guess when Bush & Co.'s people don't come out on top, that ain't no democracy, huh?

8. GOOD!!!
Ain't it strange how the POOR of Haiti love Aristide and want him back...and the RICH HATE HIM.

HMMMMM.

And maybe bush won't send US troops to KIDNAP the DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED Haitian president again.

9. But freedom is on the march! We're spreading democracy around the world!

And I'll bet if this happens, you'll hear dear darling Contradicta burbling about how surprised she was to see this - that nobody saw it coming. What a great job SHE's doing. If you want to make sure the ball is dropped, put condi on it.

Well, I saw recently here, or somewhere, a quote attributed to bush that he likes "the competition of ideas." Hope he likes this. Especially if the people there decree that they want this. I wonder if he's ever heard anything about the law of unintended consequences?

And British, French, NATO, UN and other aggression. Countries want independence and nations want liberation.
