German supermarket roof collapses
BERLIN, Germany -- The roof of a supermarket in southern Germany has collapsed following a heavy overnight snowfall, officials said.

The collapse occurred Tuesday morning at the Netto supermarket in Toeging am Inn, a small Bavarian village about 100 km east of Munich.

There were conflicting reports on casualties. Reuters reported officials as saying shoppers were injured, but Netto spokesman Markus Mosa told The Associated Press there were no reports of injuries.

The roof collapsed minutes before authorities received an emergency call at 11:26 a.m. (1026 GMT), a district official speaking on condition of anonymity told AP.

4. record breaking snow fall
breaking records set in the last 28 years at least. If you ski, it's fantastic, but the cold front has lasted for two months, -11C at sea level.
