<At the nearby Broadway Food Center, Mr. Baden got out of his car and called, "Come here little girl," Sergeant Kral said. The girl instead ran "in fear of her life," according to the arrest warrant. The suspect chased her for a short time on foot before he returned to his car, Sergeant Kral said.

The girl ran to a friend's home and dialed 911.>

COME HERE LITTLE GIRL ........ The man does not need jail time he needs to spend time w/ the
girl's father and a baseball bat.

5. That is one smart little girl. Her parents taught her well.
"At the nearby Broadway Food Center, Mr. Baden got out of his car and called, "Come here little girl," Sergeant Kral said. The girl instead ran "in fear of her life," according to the arrest warrant. The suspect chased her for a short time on foot before he returned to his car, Sergeant Kral said.

The girl ran to a friend's home and dialed 911.

"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that his intentions were less than honorable," Sergeant Kral said.

The girl had memorized the suspect's license plate number and identified his driver's license picture when police showed it to her in a selection of pictures, the sergeant said.

If convicted of attempted abduction, Mr. Baden could face up to 18 months in prison and a fine of up to $5,000."

He tries to kidnap a child and even if he is convicted, all he gets is 18 mo and a fine? The next time he does it he will be more careful and possibly more successful. Typical neo-crazy.

Republicans are above the law.

What will it take for them to get kicked back down to the ground where they belong?

9. Where did you go, Ohio?
I went back to Ohio
But my pretty countryside
Had been paved down the middle
By a government that had no pride
The farms of Ohio
had been replaced by shopping malls
And Muzak filled the air
From Seneca to Cuyahoga Falls
Said Ay! Oh! Where did you go, Ohio?

10. Funny. Everyone keeps saying he's a very good man, but
personally I don't think anyone trying to abduct a 14 year old girl is a very good man. Maybe it's just me

14. yeah, all the pedophiles and child abductors appear "good," except to
their victims.

The BTK killer who tortured, sexually assaulted and murdered a dozen women was a church-going model of virtue, too.

15. It is a great question...
One that my wife and I have pondered a few times.

Perhaps the rigid ideology of the GOP attracts people who have serious mental issues. Perhaps there is an alter-ego thing going on...the very good side (erroneously connected to GOP and/or religiosity) battles the very bad side. Extremism on both ends.

Another possibility is that the GOP and religious extremists have serious problems with sex and sexuality. A person who has disturbing sexual urges may seek out institutions that they think will help them control "Mr. Hyde". Just a few theories.

play the church-going, anti-gay, anti-porn nice guy part to give them access to unsuspecting victims.

13. "This is a first", Sheriff Nye said..... Bet it wasn't a first for ...
Mr. Baden

The girl and a friend of the same age were walking home from school. Mr. Baden allegedly drove around the block four or five times, watching them in such a way that they were scared, Sergeant Kral said.

Sounds like a regular funhouse

David F. Swartz, a former commissioner in Richland County, is in Mansfield Correctional Institution on an eight-year sentence imposed in 2004 for two felony counts of sexual battery of two teenage girls. He resigned from the board of commissioners a few months before he was sentenced.

Ohio law does not specifically prohibit a commissioner convicted of a felony from remaining in office, unless that felony is a theft

Dem party chair's complaint to FEC against Stockman

http://www.chron.com/content/chronicle/aol-metropolitan/96/06/05/stockman.2-0.html

The Democratic Party's Harris County chairman formally complained to the Federal Election Commission on Tuesday that Republican U.S. Rep. Steve Stockman has accepted illegal campaign contributions.

A spokesman for Stockman said the charge is false and based on a misreading of campaign records.

Democratic chief David Mincberg's complaint to the FEC resurrects a controversy that started in 1990, when Stockman made his first of three runs for the seat held then by U.S. Rep. Jack Brooks. Stockman lost in 1990 and 1992, won in 1994, and is seeking re-election in November.

Stockman's first try came in response to an Ohio mail advertising firm's search for a challenger against Brooks, who had proposed taxing out-of-state mail catalogs. A subsidiary of the company, Suarez Corp.,(spokesman is Steve Baden) eventually said it was hired by Stockman to provide $82,138 worth of advertising and other campaign services, but was never able to collect payment.

by the way..

It is illegal for felonies to run or hold an elected office here in Indiana regardless the crime.

25. If he had been a gay chasing a 14-year-old boy what would she say?
I can't believe they let an accused pedophile out on bail. He will try it again, without a doubt, first chance he gets.
