Muslim institute dares Iranian leader to visit Auschwitz
BERLIN (AFP) - A Muslim cultural institute in Germany criticised Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for disparaging the Holocaust, daring him to visit the Auschwitz concentration camp.

"In this place of horror he can again deny the Holocaust, if he has the courage," a spokesman for the Islam-Archiv-Deutschland Central Institute told the German Catholic press agency KNA.

In recent statements, the hardline Iranian president has dismissed the Nazis' systematic slaughter of mainland Europe's Jews as a "myth" used to justify the creation of Israel and called for the state to be "wiped off the map".

By denying the Holocaust, Ahmadinejad not only denigrated the Jewish victims of the genocide but also the 200,000 Roms and Arabs murdered in the "gypsy camp" of Auschwitz-Birkenau and other camps, the institute spokesman said.

1. Islam finds its voice
and also its audience. I applaud the IADCI for this statement, and also the news outlets that have broadcast it.

2. This is one amazing story, and it gives hope for....
... sanity in this insane world. I don't understand German, but I found their e-mail address on their web page and sent them a message of thanks. I hope someone in their office reads English. The address is info@islamarchiv.de.

Thanks, Deadparrot, for posting it.

8. Noorunisa
Khan was one. She was a radio operator for the French Resistance and refused to leave her post, even after all the other operators were captured. She was eventually betrayed to the Nazis, tried to escape twice, and was taken to Dachau where she was tortured, shot, and put in the ovens while still alive. She never told her captors who she really was. She was 30 when she died-she wrote children's books and played the harp and was the oldest child of Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan, founder of my Sufi Order.

16. ayeshahaqqiqa I hate to dissapoint you but
Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan has nothing to do with Islam. I looked at their website there are absolutely no mention about Allah and the Holy prophet (pbuh). Do you people ever pray (I do not mean zikr), fast or go to mekka?

9. Par for the course in one way-- Surprising in another
Muslims have often spoken out against the more radical amongst them...

What is surprising is that this has only received little fanfare here...

Other threads taking a "different" perspective seem to get soooo many more responses.

What does this say about folks? Your guess is as good as mine.

13. So much for all the freepers who claim that all Muslims tacitly support
the terrorists.

This is the type of thing that the MSM should be publicizing, but no, gotta keep building up support for the invasion of yet more Muslim-majority countries.
