1. The man's married to Jim Baker's sister. I expect him to say
that he shot himself and Cheney was just being a mensch for taking the blame.

2. I wonder if he's going to release a statement or be seen on camera.
Either way, I'm sure his statement has been coordinated and vetted by the Veep's office.

14. If he is, he'll be just off camera
I expect this to have all the credibility of Elian Gonzales' "statement" while his Florida relatives were holding him.

7. Well, Maybe Proof That He's Still Alive
If it isn't some kind of body double.

I was wondering what it would take for Dick to get the guy on camera---how much of his Halliburton stock did he have to fork over?

8. OK: now Du:ers,
take a very close look at the statement when it is released. Look for obvious signs of Adobe Photoshop, heavy makeup, a body double.

Let's not forget: these are the Osama workshop people.

22. After finding out that James Baker III is his brother-in-law, I fully
expect him to step up to the podium and apologize for getting in Cheney's line of fire. "It was an honor to be blasted in the face with a shotgun by such a conscientious and gifted hunter..".

24. they even got him all dressed up so he could speak for a minute or so
outside of the hospital doors, and then, of course ... time to return to ICU

... basically he said it was an accident, and it's just one of the risks you take ... then did the "thank everybody who has been so kind and good to me" stuff ... he seemed to have trouble speaking in that he needed to constantly clear his throat ... certainly, a good soldier for the busheviks

25. They just re-aired a portion on MSNBC, here is a recap.
Wittington looked well, face looked unscathed. He had a suit/tie on and read from a pre-prepared statement.

He basically said "accidents happen, we all take risks when we go hunting" ...

Cheney coming up on MSNBC now!
