DENVER (AP) - Republican Rep. Joel Hefley, the dean of the Colorado congressional delegation, said Thursday he will not seek an 11th term this fall, setting up a wide-open race in the conservative Fifth District anchored by Colorado Springs.

And we have a Democrat already running, Jay Fawcett. He's an Air Force veteran, consults for the military. He may not win, of course, but he will give these lazy thinking "loyal" Republicans that we have so many of around here something to think about.

He, been trying to pass a law in Colorado that would prevent a Terry Schiavo dilemma, from the wingnut perspective, that is. He wants the government in your hospital room. making sensitive personal decisions instead of your family and your doctor.
