Rice warns Iran, Mideast states not to finance Hamas-led PA
http://www.haaretzdaily.com/hasen/spages/684212.html

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice cautioned Iran and other Middle East powers on Friday of the consequences for the region of giving money to a Palestinian government led by Hamas.

She also expressed doubt that the militant Islamic group could raise badly needed international financing unless it changes its policies.

"I would hope that any state that is considering funding Hamas, a Hamas-led government, would think about the implications of that for the Middle East" and for the goal of peace between Israel and the Palestinians, Rice said.

In an interview with a panel of Arab journalists, Rice delivered a new and blunt warning to Iran.

"Iran has its own troubles with the international community, and it might want to think twice about enhancing those troubles" by bankrolling Hamas, Rice said.

First the Russians are sending them guns and how Rice is going to stop Iran is beyond me...

4. Rice: Iran is global terror 'banker'
The Iranian government is a "central banker" for global terrorism and working with Syria to destablise the Middle East, the US Secretary of State has said.

Speaking in testimony to the US Senate on Thursday, Condoleeza Rice signaled the US intention to step up the diplomatic offensive against Iran, saying the threat it posed went beyond its controversial nuclear programme.

"It's not just Iran's nuclear programme but also their support for terrorism around the world. They are, in effect, the central banker for terrorism," she told the Senate Budget Committee.

5. It seems Rice's only job as Secretary of State is to go around...
the world warning and threatening countries whose democratically elected leaders are not to Bushco's liking. It seems all those threats are falling on empty ears and their strategy is not working anymore.

The US Empire is a terrorist organization.
Has been since WWII.
Just ask Argentina.
Just ask Vietnam.
Just ask Central America
and the list goes on.

As usual, Condi is full of shit.

The big ass pot calling the little itsybitsy kettle black.

Remember what nearly every fighter against any fictional or real empire has ever said in just about every movie ever made in which this issue has come up.

9. It is not Ha Mas they would be bankrolling but Palestine
Remember Ha Mas was Democratically Elected by a large majority. It is the same thing as saying do not aid America when in need because it is controlled by Republicans...hmmm maybe that is exactly what is being said around the world and doing so using our example.

13. Her comments...
are strictly for the homefires. Israel is trying out 'excuses' with the international community--attack Iran over nukes or attack Iran over 'terrah' funding. So long as the 'meme' is put out there--no comment is necessary.

The Admin has no credibility since most believe quite rightly that US policy in this regard is Israel's anyway...slow starvation of the PA which results in either a)obedience or b)genocide.

15. ***SIGN MY PETITION: NO WAR WITH IRAN!****
Hello,

For the past year, the growing tensions mounting between the US, Israel, and Iran are reaching a point where military action against Iran is w/in months of becoming reality. The repercussions are terrifying as such military action could involve countries such as China and Russia as they share massive energy/economic interests w/ Iran. The most likely scenario we would face would be the collapse of the US economy as the combination of a massive rise in oil prices and a run on the US dollar would surely be the weapon many countries would use to fight back against a preemptive US or Israeli strike.

For a collection of articles and resources on this subject you can visit this link: http://reseaudesign.com/research/iran/iran_summery.html

I'm starting up a petition which I will be sending out to as many members of Congress as possible. I'm asking for help to get this signed by as many people, possible in the next month. Send it to as many people you can.

Thanks for your time
