A skin mag claimed yesterday it has pictures of Iraqi POW Jessica Lynch frolicking topless with male soldiers before she went off to war.

A spokesman for the 20-year-old Army private - the subject of Sunday's TV movie on NBC that drew 14.9 million viewers - called the plan by Hustler magazine to publish the purported photos "unspeakable."

"Leave it to Larry Flynt to do something like this," said Paul Bogaards of Alfred Knopf, publisher of "I Am A Soldier, Too: The Jessica Lynch Story," which is being released today.

She has some interesting things to say about the treatment of women during the 1980's in the USAF. Pilots would routinely enter the women's shower area, and dispite the obvious breaking of the rules, nothing was even done about it. At one base, in Morrocco, it got so bad, that the First Sgt. of her services squadron stopped serving the officers hot meals, this was the only way they could get the base commander's attention.

I asked her about these pictures this morning, and she said" At 18 I was young, innocent, and flattered that people found me attractive. I exposed more boob than I should have a few times. Beer will do that to you". I suspect there may be a few topless pic's of Mrs T in some middle aged guys, or quite possibly gals, scrapbook. Ahh, sweet bird of youth.

and to the best of my knowledge I never exposed myself,but that shower thing happens! There were times when I was the only woman in my unit and a few times there were as many as eight,but they never quite knew what to do with us so they were always moving us around. At one point they gave us the entire third floor of a barracks building that actually belonged to another battalion.



The first night I was there I was taking a shower,and some guy walked in naked but holding an ice pick. He placed the ice pick against my throat and said,"Don't scream..but what's your name"? I didn't scream..I was like in shock I guess..and we went on to have a very pleasant conversation. After about 5 minutes of talking about this guys favorite movie or some such nonsense something snapped and I started screaming LOUD. Luckily,it scared him and he ran,but when I went to ask my fellow women soldiers if they had seen the guy or heard me scream,we realized that the floor was so big,and there were so few of us,that you could scream your heart out and no one would hear you.


The other women came to me later that night and said they were sorry it had happened,but would I please not tell,cause then they would put gaurds up there or some such thing and the situation would get even worse. It took me a little by surprise because when they asked me not to tell,I realized that it had never ever..not one time..occured to me to tell. I already KNEW that would make things worse. Anyway,I'm glad your experiences were good,but the military could stop a lot of this shit and they choose not to. Don't take it out on the women.

were very much inline with the type Mrs. Throckmorton described. A good first sergeant makes a world of difference. There were very few women in my unit and we all shared the same room. I had one first sergeant who would 'personally' let himself into the room every morning so that we wouldn't oversleep..lol. The next guy was good though. When we would go out to the field he would have us sleep in the operations tent because it was the only way he could gaurantee our safety. He was sincere,and will always have a special place in my heart. Tell Mrs. Thockmorton I hear what she's saying. :)

but it's worth noting that her fellow soldiers, especially the men in her unit are getting the proverbial shaft here. did you see the CBS interview with the soldier who was really the hero of the engagement? who received a silver star for holding off a dozen iraqi soldiers, and probably killing at least six? She was made the wealthy heroine and he, at least, is fairly bitter, although he was gamely trying to cover it up. tihnk about it. he wins the silver star, gets captured and gets reassinged to the motor pool at Fort Carson. She gets into a car accident and gets a million bucks. it's easy to see why people would be bitter, and think that their opportunity to sell a little piece of pfc lynch would be worth it.
