President Highlights Campaign Fund-raiser in Arkansas Little Rock (AP) - About 40 Democratic protesters squared off against College Republicans down the street from the building where Bush is speaking at a fund-raiser.
The groups stood yelling and chanting at each other in a designated "free-speech zone" further down on President Clinton Avenue in downtown Little Rock.
About 35 volunteers and staffers from retired General Wesley Clark's campaign headquarters arrived to back up a lone Dean supporter who was being heckled by the Republicans from University of Central Arkansas.
Lisa Burks, president of Hot Springs chapter of the National Organization of Women, said the Republicans held signs reading, "We'll be on the ballot,'' in reference to the
tossup Democratic primary.
The Democrats chanted back, "W is for Wes'' and "Redefeat Bush'' and "Bush Go home.''

1. Great.........
at least the Clark/Dean people seem to be able to work together. I wish the same could be said for Kerry/Dean supporters.

2. Now, if only your candidate can stop attacking our candidate...
Over and over Clark refuses to take the bait from reporters and zoome exclusively on Bush. Over and over he is being called a Republican...

I hope Dean backs off on the attacks. I hate that. I am happy to see Clark sticking to his campaign promise not personally attack other DEMS. Good for Clark!

3. It takes alot of courage to stand up when you're alone-
THAT'S the kind of courage Deaniac's have; kudo's to the the Clark supporters for seeing the big picture.

As far as Clark goes, I've no problems with the man.

7. Swing voters and some military are leaning away from *
Many Greens are regretting 2000, and Libertarians are scared shitless by Ashcroft.

Stay on course, smirk. You'll be back in Crawford growing dirt and raising tumbleweeds in no time.

8. "W is for Wes''
Ha ha. Hey, what do you know, some Democrats support "Dubya" (aside from Zell).

Good for them, fighting the facists with a Deanie.

10. It's like I've been saying all along....
There are lots of Deanies here who say that Clarkies are attacking Dean. I haven't seen it and I'm still looking even in the archives.
What I will say besides that is because we dragged Clark into the campaign we owe it to him to show as much class as he does, as to not tarnish his image.
With that said I'm proud to support a candidate where the supporters are as genuine as the candidate. I'm also glad that they got in their cars and drove over and backed up the Dean supporter cuz they like 99.9% of us have their eye on a Democrat in the White House after the 2004 elections.

Good Show on both parts Deanies and Clarkies....we may end up working together next year...so we better start friendly and lasting relationships.

12. Agreed
I'm a Dean fan, but I think Clark is a good man, and I'd be proud to support him whether he's nominated for president or vice president.

14. Clark rocks!
I like this guy and would enthusiastically support him if he gets the nomination; he focuses on his message and not on the other candidates and his supporters follow suit.
