4. They cancelled this season's War In Iraq.
The ratings were down. A replacement reality show: War In Iran, is in the works.

5. Stand up and be counted- Who still supports this madness Congress?

"There will be no peace. At any given moment for the rest of our lifetimes, there will be multiple conflicts in mutating forms around the globe. Violent conflict will dominate the headlines, but cultural and economic struggles will be steadier and ultimately more decisive. The de facto role of the US armed forces will be to keep the world safe for our economy and open to our cultural assault. To those ends, we will do a fair amount of killing."

7. Roadside bombs were suddenly very effective
The same day the golden mosque was bombed and all hell broke loose. A bit much for a coincidence.

9. I expect to see the incidence of "fraggings" start picking up soon
The enlisted ranks are the military equivalent of the "working class," whereas the officer corps is the military equivalent of the "managerial class." Expect to see more and more workers' revolts, a la Vietnam, ca. 1969-72.
