8. Sounds like you are trying to incite anti-coverbanism

These are routine explosions, and a routine fire.

Inciting anti-coverbanism in this way is designed only to cause anguish to those Americans who do not realize that Potentate Bremer is safely on his way to a hastily-called conference in Washington, where he will wait out some routine mopping-up aerial campaigns that will help reduce the population and facilitate securing the natural resources that help keep America running!

Let's look on the bright side.

In America, the press has the freedom to praise the bush regime, even right in the middle of Iraq!

That would never have been allowed under Saddam's brutal regime!

24. Naturally Bremer Runs
What a chicken-ass. They all are chicken f**ks. Scary, as soon as I saw the Drudge Report this morning and it stated that Viceroy Bremer had to depart Baghdad for Washington, I knew something was coming. Even scarier, there was a report on DU yesterday of hundereds of planes massing somewhere. There were flying over Scotland every 15 minutes. Something like 200 plus. Maybe another assault on Baghdad? Damacus (as was suggested). Who knows. This whole thing is really messed up. I fear Bush's desire for Armageddon is being realized.

52. The air bombing has already begun according to Sanchez
"The most important message is that we're going to get pretty tough," said Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, whose forces have unleashed air bombing for the first time since Bush declared major combat over on May 1.

"That's what's necessary to defeat this enemy and we're definitely not shy about doing that," Sanchez told a news briefing.

Washington blames die-hard supporters of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and foreign guerrillas for the attacks.

"Not a single tool that we have available would be spared if necessary to defeat that enemy," Sanchez said. "Although the coalition can be benevolent, this is still the same lethal formation that removed the former oppressive regime."

This is what Reuters is reporting:

At Least Three Blasts Heard in Baghdad-Witnesses
Tue November 11, 2003 01:35 PM ET

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - At least three explosions echoed across the Iraqi capital Baghdad Tuesday night, although the location of the blasts was not immediately clear, Reuters witnesses said.
The explosions, which sounded like mortar fire, follow a trend of mortar attacks on the U.S.-led administration's sprawling headquarters in central Baghdad in the past 10 days.

Those recent attacks have wounded several people but not killed anyone or caused much damage.

A U.S. army spokesman said he had no concrete details.

If you are close enough to the mortar, four rounds sound like eight explosions because you hear the charge that launches the projectile.

Series of Strong Blasts Heard in Baghdad
Associated Press

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A series of strong explosions were heard in central Baghdad after sundown Tuesday, and smoke could be seen rising from the U.S. headquarters compound known as the "green zone."

Up to eight detonations occurred after 9:30 p.m. Following one of them, white smoke could be seen rising from the zone, a one-square-mile area of downtown Baghdad where the main buildings of the U.S.-led coalition are located.

There is a wingnut at my work that I've been "working" on and the biggest impact anything has had on him was some band called KMFD (i think) and they have an album or a song out that bashes BUSH.

Many people take their cue(s) from what's out there in the media and pop culture. We need more artists to speak up, or write about the disaster our country is in to wake people up.

Explosions rock Baghdad
Iraqi politician killed in confrontation with U.S. soldiers
Tuesday, November 11, 2003 Posted: 2:10 PM EST (1910 GMT)

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- At least 10 explosions were heard Tuesday night in Baghdad, and smoke was rising from within the coalition's heavily secured Green Zone, which includes most of the Coalition Provisional Authority's activities.

A spokesman for the authority said officials are investigating.

A CNN security adviser at a Baghdad hotel saw two impacts in the zone and smoke rise from them.

A CNN crew in the area reports normal traffic and said bridges over the Tigris River near the Green Zone are open.

28. 3-4 Mortars Land Inside US Baghdad Headquarters -Fox News
NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--A U.S. military source said three to four mortars landed
inside the U.S. headquarters compound in Baghdad Tuesday night, but there was no
immediate word on any casualties, Fox News reported.
No return fire was heard, Fox News said, possibly indicating U.S. troops
weren't able to immediately pinpoint the location of the incoming mortar rounds.
The headquarters compound has been a frequent target of mortar fire recently.

48. When has this ever stopped them before?
"No return fire was heard, Fox News said, possibly indicating U.S. troops weren't able to immediately pinpoint the location of the incoming mortar rounds"

Don't they usually just spin around shooting in all directions when they can' figure out where it's coming from?

Of course, such tactics are not the fault of the soldiers, because they shouldn't even be there.

Oh, the bloody, bloody hands of BushCo.

Like maybe, they will let some of our troops

flatten Iraq?
Let's not forget that MOAB they moved over there
last spring.
Let's not forget that they create disasters to
get the Amurikkans pissed off at the terr'ists
so that they can retaliate with the 'murikans permission.

cud--as they have since the beginning of this unwarranted attack. Perhaps they have considered the fact that no country in History has
unilaterally attacked a sovereign nation--and won. No resistence
of such an attack has ever lost. ever.
