I will find a link. Will post more when I know more. On channel 4, LA station on Directv, a passenger plane was shown grounded, surrounded by emergency vehicles.

smoke in cockpit. Looks like nothing spectacular. It was grounded not long after takeoff.

This is not uncommon and it will definately ground the plane until the problem is found and fixed.
Fire in an airplane is not to be messed with.
The procedure in almost all cases is to get the plane on the ground as soon as possible.
