U.S. probe of Arar case urged
NEW YORK — U.S. lawyers for Maher Arar have urged Congress and Attorney-General John Ashcroft to investigate whether the deportation of the Canadian from New York to Syria violated American laws.

In a letter dated Nov. 10, the Center for Constitutional Rights asked members of both the House of Representatives committee on intelligence and its Senate counterpart to review Mr. Arar's case. The centre also urged Mr. Ashcroft to begin a criminal investigation.

The Washington Post reported last week that the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency has a covert program known as "extraordinary rendition" in which it turns over people suspected of terrorist links to foreign intelligence services to be tortured for information.

The news is so bias. Why does CNN have nothing but GOP Whore Think Tanks as guests? Today the Heritage Fuckdation Whore said the "extraordinary rendition" is very useful and successful.
1. Well lets send Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Asscroft, Perle, Wolfowitz to one and see what they are hiding and lying about! And let's send all the Heritage Fuckdation Whores to one and see about what we all know but can't prove because we are a nation of democracy and laws, 'the illegal and racketeering collusion between the American Media and the GOP Party. That on a stack of Bibles would be proven true! So why aren't we justified to prove the truth by means of torture on non-Muslims?

1. Wonderful
But I'd like to see this covered big-time in US media. Still no sign of it. I've been following this on the CBC for the last two weeks and the story is horrific. Which is why I doubt Asskkkrack will deign to even respond to the request.

As to CNN's whoredom, I don't watch them unless I need some late-breaking info on a late-breaking event of interest. I leave it to brave DUers who expose themselves to that crap on a regular basis to inform me of the latest prostitutions. But I agree, the entire misadministration should be sent to a Syrian jail next time they try to travel to Canada.

3. I forgot to; the Heritage Whore talked like Syria was God's gift to the US
but he didn't mention why we have such a close relationship with Syria to send them people to be tortured and we trust the intelligence they send back the the US? And since we are such good friends with Syria why have are we slapping sanctions on them?

2. Ashcroft hah ! Congress hah!
Arar won't get his day in court.
By the by I scanned Bush's speech before the Heritage Foundation audience and at the risk of sounding shallow; I noticed that the audience was almost exclusively made up of pink-faced older fat cats sitting with their white coifed wives whose adoring eyes and smiles of content were centered on their hero, Dubya. Not a very diverse audience, of course. I wonder how much money was thrown at Bush to help these parasites continue their obscenely comfortable filled lives.
