U.S. Forces Fire at Iraqi (Governing Council) Official's Car, Hit Driver
The article also mentions two other past incidents of US troops shooting at officials. The troops are getting nervous and trigger-happy -- what a Mess o'potamia (to quote the Daily Show)

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S. forces fired at the car of an Iraqi Governing Council member on Wednesday, wounding his driver in the foot, a council statement said.
The statement said Mohammad Bahr al-Uloum, an independent Shi'ite Muslim cleric, was not hurt when U.S. forces mistook his car for a stolen vehicle while he was being driven across a Tigris river bridge in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

4. Does the UCMJ allow for Deadly Force in matters of THEFT?
"We thought it was a stolen car..."

"Good news, Mr. Abdul! We recovered your vehicle...unfortunately, it was destroyed during the recovery operation..."

This story stinks like Starbucks Coffee....

5. and they plan to use the council as a scapegoat
blaming them for dragging their feet and not drafting the constitution by the unrealistic date that the U.S. negotiated with the UN.

Maybe the council can't concentrate? Already the brother of one of the members was killed in Najaf, now this close call.

6. I don't think Bushco ever had any intention of allowing the Iraqi
Governing Council to take charge. Just a facade to placate the Iraqi's fears of occupation. They treat the Iraqis like the Israelis treat the Palestinians.

9. Wait, I didn't see the complete episode of the Justice Lords, er,
the Justice League on Cartoon Network.

Which one was GWB?

Alternate Universe Superman killed President Lex Luthor.

The Justice Lords took over running the US/World until they felt that the population was ready to be handed back to "the people". "The People" were constantly asking for years "When?"

The Justice Lords kept saying "Soon, but not yet. You're not ready."

Look for Iraq to be handed over to the Iraqis once the last drop of Iraqi oil is siphoned out of the ground.
