CBS News "Economy gives Bush a (slight) poll boost.....
But overall rating in CBS News survey at lowest point"

WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- With the U.S. recovery in evidence, President Bush received a slight boost on economic matters yet the overall rating in a CBS News poll remained the lowest of his presidency as Iraq casualties mount.

Forty-three percent of Americans now approve of the way Bush is managing the world's largest economy, up from 41 percent last month. Forty-six percent disapprove, down from 51 percent last month.

snip...

The telephone survey, conducted Monday through Wednesday from a sample of 1,000 adults, found that 29 percent of respondents said the economy and the labor market are the most important problems facing the country today, far ahead of any other international or domestic problem. The war with Iraq came in second at 18 percent, double the importance it was given in September, before a spate of attacks against Americans believed to be orchestrated by Iraqis loyal to deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

The recent slew of American casualties may have caused Bush's overall approval ratings to fall slightly to 50 percent. That's down sharply from his high of 89 percent approval in September 2001 and in line with his ratings in August of that year, the lowest they reached during his three years in office.

4. And that won't last long, since jobless figures went back up...
We had a one-week drop in jobless claims, and that reversed itself this week. Dubya's ratings should follow suit.

5. The Article Implies that Iraq is REALLY HURTING BushCo Now
And BushCo has always had its highest numbers on Defense & Foreign Affairs., while they've always been weak on the economy.

6. What other bad numbers are you referring to?
BTW, I think's it's notable that Bush's overall rating dropped from 54 to 50 percent EVEN WITH ALL THIS ECONOMIC NEWS.

7. Could they even be more misleading?
Like you mention, his overall poll number drops, but you wouldn't know that from the title of the article. And his overall number is not even mentioned till near the end of the article. Whores!

8. Anything for you, El Capitano Busho!
"If our humble little news network may be of service, O President-for-Life Bush, then we are grateful for the opportunity to serve! Are you down in the polls? Then we shall say you are improving!"
