Rumsfeld: We will 'outlast' guerrillas
Tokyo - United States Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld denies that the US-led forces in Iraq is in trouble because of a surge of attacks against the occupying forces.

He made the remark on Friday en route to Tokyo to meet with Japanese leaders, who on Thursday backed off from sending troops to Iraq to help with humanitarian assistance this year following a suicide bombing that killed 18 Italians and nine Iraqis in Nasiriyah.

Rumsfeld told reporters on the flight from Guam to Tokyo that every country should make its own judgement about whether to send their troops to Iraq.

Outlast you in $500 a night hotels, eating $200 a sitting meals, flying $3,000,000 dollar a day trips, throwing thousands of American children's bodies into Iraq! The only thing I hope for you is you 'Outlast' Satan's torture cell in Guantanamo Hell!

Edited on Fri Nov-14-03 09:13 AM by saigon68
And more created by the day.

1. Every child who has a relative killed has a score to settle.

2. Every husband whose wife was killed has a score to settle.

3. Every man whose daughter was strip searched has a score to settle.

4. Every shop owner whose business was looted has a score to settle.

Going to take a long time to SETTLE all of this.

And this old, tired bastard is going to OUTLAST them? What a joke !!!

29. "Its IRAQ-NAM-- Plenty of Guerrillas" - ur right, and more to come

. . You don't win the minds and hearts of people by killing them

. . and with over 10,000 CIVILIANS killed so far in this "war"

. . that's leaves alot of relatives with hate for the USA

. Granted, Saddam was not a "nice" guy,

but now the Iraqis know who to blame for their relatives deaths -

The USA, right ? - and the USA expects Iraqi affection ?

In My Opinion, the USA Administration is insane -

pure and simple Insanity

Just a Humble Canuk Opinion

6. Zactly - and the whole World knows how well THAT idea worked -

. . Bu$hco and thugs seem to furget something

- the USA is in SOMEBODY ELSE'S country

. . the so-caled "geurillas" ain't moving out !

. . the problem will not end until the USA is gone

this was/is and INVASION

- so even normal peacefull people in Iraq will do what they can to get the USA out

I mean - gewhiz, it's not as if the Iraqi's life has improved so greatly since the USA "freed" them, - right ?

People who used to have water, - don't

People who used to have electricity, - don't

People who used to have jobs, - don't

People who used to have mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, - don't

People who used to have all their arms and legs, - don't

And so on - -

Aaaaah - the "price" of the Amerikkkan version of freedom

(sigh)

23. Unfortunately, I believe he's fooling too many Americans

. . there are still TOO MANY people in the USA that support this "war"

. . it was/is an invasion on a Sovereign Country that was NOT at war with anyone,

. . and apparently NOT a "clear an present danger" as it was sold to the American public

. .but they are still "buying" it

(sigh)

11. Our illegitimate regime could care less
...what happens over there while they are lining their pockets with millions daily and distracting the people from the demise of the Republic.

Did anyone hear Chretian's speech on Cspan? Compare what he has to say about government by the people to the nauseating garbarge that comes out of our regime every day.

12. I listened to Chretien's speech and he made some very pointed...
remarks about Bush's right wing when he talked about Canadians beware of the right's policies of profits over people, etc. I was a very proud Canadian listening to a great leader. I will miss him.

15. I also watched the departing speech of Chretien, and was proud

. . of being a Canadian, and of our Chretien's steadfast resistance to Bu$hes threats.

. . not only that,

WE as Canuks can be proud that we don't have to hide our leader behind fences and guns!

. . and remember this,

the only country that has attacked Canada in the last two centuries, is, hmmm

- guess who -

yup - U got it , the USA

and I did not miss the inferences of Chretien's "BEWARE OF ..." sentences as referring to the USA's aggression

gonna miss that ugly crooked-face PM of ours,

hope our New PM doesn't cowtow to the US, I have my worries though

(sigh)

19. I, too, am worried about Martin...
we are "safe" until after the election and I, for one, will be watching VERY carefully what Martin does after that. If he even comes close to kissing Bush's ass, I will be furious. Right now, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt but just barely.

I only hope that Martin follows his father who was very liberal and protective of social programs.

that would be great, I think he should be over their experiencing the conditions himself. And he should bring along all his neocon buddies.

But, oh yeah, I forgot, these guys don't LIKE to be in combat...

May outlast them, but the poor troops are the ones on the line.
He says about Italian soldiers: I believe they may even be sending replacement forces," he added.
Replacements is the key. Replace the goofballs who think they are running the show. They can't even run their own boots. Callous Bastards.

18. Ummm...Rummy...that's THEIR strategy.
OUR strategy is to get in good with folks and get them a government of their own so we can get out. The last thing we want to do is to try to "outlast" them.

. . Like, hmm - the USA can go "home"

. . these guys ARE home, and they ain't going anywhere !

. . AND the Iraqi'a are "awake" now -

. . they wouldn't have DARED to fight Saddam like this

sad to say, bad as Saddam may have been - he had CONTROL

sumthing the USA obviously DOESN'T have

20. Remember the old North Vietnamese/VC strategy
As outlined by the victorious (twice) General Giap.

We knew you had to leave eventually.

All we had to do was make it too miserable for you to stay, and not LOSE.

Rummy's claim absolutely REEKS of obsolete, arrogant, discredited thinking.

What a surprise!

25. Shall we send Rummmy a history of the Viet Nam 'conflict'
for the upcoming holiday season? I'll kick in a buck to buy the ignorant idiot a bit of context and perspective. 'Course, he needs new glasses too cuz the ones he's wearin' don't seem to give him an accurate view of what is in front of his nose. They don't do much for any 20/20 hindsight either.

. . he'll look at the 58,000 lost and say "we got a long ways to go" !!

. . better idea is to send him a pic of him shaking hands with Saddam in the 80's ?

. . then he might get an idea what you/we think of Rummy's "word" ?

These asses really DON'T talk to each other, do they?
Shrub is saying how we're now in a rush to turn the place over and get the hell out of there, and Rumsferatu is still going "Oh, we're gonna be there for the LONG haul...Years...Maybe 2....maybe forever....who knows? (waves hands in front of face and flicks fingers at press)"
