CIA denies seeking pact with bin Laden
The Herald
The CIA rejected as fantasy claims it tried to negotiate a non-aggression pact with Osama bin Laden just two months before the September 11 attacks.

Richard Labeviere, author of the Corridors of Terror, says the CIA's Dubai chief approached bin Laden while the al Qaeda leader was being treated for a kidney complaint in the United Arab Emirates.
He said the meeting took place in the American Hospital in Dubai on July 12, eight weeks before the attacks.

"Such an allegation is sheer fantasy, no such thing occurred," said Mark Mansfield, a CIA spokesman, echoing an earlier rebuttal of French reports of the meeting.

Labeviere said a contact in the hospital told him of an encounter, which was later confirmed by a Gulf prince.

The second contact told him the meeting had been set up by Prince Turki al-Faisal, head of Saudi intelligence.

"Turki thought he could start direct negotiations between the Saudi millionaire and the CIA on one fundamental point: that bin Laden and his supporters end their hostilities against American interests," he says.

In exchange, the CIA and the Saudi (intelligence) services undertook to allow bin Laden to return to his native country. The meeting was a failure, Labeviere said. (AP)

the question should be: would the cia admit it if it was true.

1. What'd they do? Threaten to cut his bonus?

Agent bin Laden (sabbatical) has a near quarter century employment history with the CIA; seeking a "pact" with him would be along the lines of the Walmart execs seeking a "pact" with Gloria in Garden Supplies.

2. Absolutely not
they would never admit that. Nobody is this administration is allowed to admit anything that would be politically damaging to the president. They stop at nothing. The Democrats for the most part just let it happen.

7. Someone should invent a game like "Fantasy Spook"
Something similar to that other game some play called fantasy football. You could pick the upcoming ones with the best stats (or worst, as it were)put them on this special statistical team that is you have chosen and see who wins the game. You wouldn't have to worry which side you were on or any of that other stuff, just who had the most or least impact on the rest of Humanity at the end of the year.

I know this sounds sick but some people need to wake up to the fact being a hypocrite is not a one way street; as a matter of fact it looks like a multilevel intersection to me. Thanks for the link to that post 9215 BTW
