Greenspan: Economy Bound by Uncertainty
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said Friday that monetary policy-makers face the inescapable fact that they must make decisions in a world of uncertainty.

``Uncertainty is not just an important feature of the monetary policy environment, it is the defining characteristic,'' Greenspan said as he opened a two-day Fed conference covering some of the latest academic research on monetary policy.

1. "Irrational protuberance"
Is that a monetary policy in your pocket, Alan, or are you just glad to see me?

2. Economy bound by election cycle
Greenspan probably won't risk pissing Bush off during election year. Keeping money loose, not worrying about deficit or inflation.

well, maybe worrying about it...

3. this jerk
just pisses me off.

Everyone said he was the "magic" behind the good things that happened on Clinton's shift, yet he has done absolutely f**k-all since Bozo the Clown took the helm.

His partisan crap is just an additional insult to this country.

He has opposed minimum wage increases and has sucked up to the GOP forever.

I hope he rots in hell.

5. Well, Greenspan
is not helping matters. Does anyone recall his warnings last year, when the White House ship started sinking with all the budget deficits? He was concerned. Rat-publican pundits were speculating on how long he would keep his job.

Now, he's singing a different tune. Someone's obviously had a stern talking with him, because he never mentions it anymore.

Sellout.
