Bush Faces Days of Protest from All Sides
An alternative state procession, rallies, petitions, peace parties and a huge national demonstration will greet US President George Bush during his controversial visit to Britain next week.

Muslims will urge other anti-war protesters to join them in a fast on the day of the biggest protest next Thursday in central London, which is expected to be supported by tens of thousands of people from across the country.

A group of doctors and psychologists said they will try to get Mr Bush sectioned under the Mental Health Act during his visit.

Other protests will involve papier mache statues of the President being pulled down during rallies, in echoes of the toppling of a statue of Saddam Hussain in Baghdad during the end of the bombing of the Iraqi capital.

Protests will begin on Sunday when Vietnam veteran Ron Kovic will introduce a special screening of the Oliver Stone film Born on the Fourth of July in central London.

A petition protesting against President Bush’s visit will be handed in to 10 Downing Street on Monday.

11. In the US a person can be involuntarily commited if
they are a danger to the themselves or others. One definition of danger to others seems to fit. "acted in such a way as to create a "substantial risk" of serious bodily harm to another person or has engaged in extreme destruction of property and there is "reasonable probability" that the person will repeat this conduct."

However it's pretty difficult to prove all this for an ordinary person, much less a dangerous lunatic with the full funding of the BFEE and the power of the US military behind them. Maybe UK laws are a bit easier to work with. GO SHRINKS!

19. DSM IV - Narcissistic Personality Disorder
Edited on Fri Nov-14-03 03:54 PM by GoreN4
<<<What are we waiting for?>>>

Well, as Americans most of us do not want to accept the pathology that Bush exhibits, especially in his speech patterns. Some psychologists have certainly discussed George W. Bush's behavior...

With any luck, Bush will be correctly diagnosed by the Brits with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. (Additionally, according to a childhood friend of G.W. Bush's from Midland, Bush used to put fire crackers in frogs and throw them in the air to watch them blow-up. This type of behavior at early childhood can sometimes lead to Sadistic Personality Disorder, so we may have a differential diagnosis there, but I would stick to a clinical level of Narcissitic Personality Disorder).

Narcissistic Personality Disorder:

A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:

(1) has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

(2) is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

(3) believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)

(4) requires excessive admiration

(5) has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations

(6) is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends

(7) lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others

(8) is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her

(9) shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

38. From 'Malignant Self Love-Narcissism Revisited'
Edited on Fri Nov-14-03 06:26 PM by liberalnproud
Question: Can narcissism be reconciled with a belief in God?

Answer: The narcissist is prone to magical thinking. He thinks about himself in terms of "being chosen" or of "having a destiny". He believes that he has a "direct line" to God, even, perversely, that God "serves" him in certain junctions and conjunctures of his life, through divine intervention. He believes that his life is of such momentous importance, that it is micro-managed by God. The narcissist likes to play God to his human environment. In short, narcissism and religion go well together, because religion allows the narcissist to feel unique.

I was married to one and have been forced to deal with one on a continuing basis because of a child. This book has been very helpful in understanding the psychopathology of NPD.

30. Here's my plan...
Have someone, preferably a French hooker, lure him over to France with promises of duty free wine and cheese (remember, his sister-in-law had an aversion to paying duty). Imagine the scandal when he's caught, baguette in hand, trying to cross back to Dover. The French police can arrest him ala Pinochet, and try him for war crimes.

I wonder what the freepers are going to do, since their usual support group of 6 oddballs will be grounded on the other side of the pond.

Maybe Rove will tell Chimpy that the protestors are actually disguised secret service members, protecting him by the tens of thousands.

even if the RNC leases a C130 they can only take so many freepers because most of the cargo space will be taken up by porto-lets.

And will the possibility of one give the Lil' Dictator a pre-text for avoiding the sure-to-be-embarrassing trip?
If Al Qeada has access to a nuke, it sure seems like they might see it as an opprotune time to utilize it- or if you want to screw the tin-foil hat on really tight- maybe Rove, Cheney & the other neo-fascistcons are the ones plotting and coordinating such a strike, and intend to sacrifice their figure-dunderhead to further their own evil agenda of world domination...But would Poppy ever go for the idea? well, it's not like it would be Neil or Jeb that he'd be losing.

43. I would suggest
that the Bush narcissistic personality disorder has infiltrated to enable the hidden narcissitic personlity disorders of some fifty percent of the population who support the pathological disorder of their unelected "leader" "bring em on" George the little penised, Bush.

We are now confronted with fifty, more or less, percent of a population, who are enabled, thanks to George the greedy, unelected stupid, to engage in the dysfunctional narcissistic personality, Ayn Rand, randian, Neo con personality disorder that is the current most popular, and trendy, soccer mom, rage because of it's selfish pursuits of selfish survival concentrated on the individual and little else, and popular trendy mode with at least fifty percent of Americans--who are, I would bet, stupid, or uneducated, less than intelligent beings and are functioning at the level of less than human--but who, nevertheless, are intent upon gaining the most wealth they can ever gain, even though they could not spend it within their own lifetime--they will vote and they will finance any contender for the throne in America, the democratic beautiful, in order to have this wealth for themselves and their children even though it means supporting the murder of thousands of innocent others in far away countries who are a definate threat to the lives of their own children

It is the greed--it is the wealth--it is the striving for more wealth that is destroying this country.
