Bush's Trip Comes at Bad Time for U.S., British Leaders
http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGATK24T1ND.html

WASHINGTON (AP) - It seems like a colossal case of bad timing on both sides of the Atlantic, a state visit to Britain while both President Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair are mired in slumping approval ratings because of continuing turmoil in Iraq.

Blair stands to lose the most politically from the visit, U.S. and British analysts suggest. Recent polls show a clear majority of British voters think Bush was wrong on Iraq and regard Blair's closeness to the president as bad for Britain.

But it also is hard to see what benefit Bush can claim by offering a fresh reminder that he and Blair marched lockstep against most of the world in deciding to invade Iraq.

Bush's visit, from Tuesday to Friday, is becoming a magnet for protesters from all over Europe, with tens of thousands of demonstrators expected to take to the streets.

1. I know, it's great ain't it....
buzzardbrains will finally come face to face with his adoring "irrelevant" European fans.
Faux news going nuts this morning, wringing their hands over the safety of Heir bush*, when all those nasty al caedas are grouping over there to cause our fearless leader harm. BUWAHAHAHA
Also mentioning the bush* regime is sending lots of security in advance to insure his safety. One of the morons asked, "why is he going there?" I wish somebody would have said, 'cause, they're our bestest friends and ally in the world'. LMAO

7. Why doesn't Faux compare his visit with other presidents?
They might question why so MANY are against him. Karl Rove thought Bush could use photo-ops with the queen, etc.

3. There's still plenty of time for Operation Iron Hammer
To suddenly become SO IMPORTANT that bu$h simply cannot leave the White House. The Commander-in-Chief needs to be hands-on at this Critical Juncture, and all that...

10. right
-wonder if she will wear the bile green upholstered dress, with long sleeved jacket, fastened with a huge 3" pink brocade fabric button at the waist to emphasize her girlish figure. I also wonder if she will wear a pair of mustard colored, sling back , shoes and top it all off with her helmut wig.

6. I hope they've badly underestimated the total number...
...of protesters. The last I saw, they were estimating possibly 60,000 protesters, but I'm beginning to sense that it sould be far more than that.

I want Junior to see, hear, and feel what thousands upon thousands of people have to say about his policies. I hope he gets "stuck" in traffic.

8. One article I read
said at least 100,000 protesters. The chimp is going to find out right quick how unpopulat he really is, providing New Scotland Yard doesn't cave in to the horrendous security measures the chimp's handlers want.

9. Question for British DUers:
What is your sense of how big the protest will be?

Also, are you going to go? If so, thanks for showing the world that it's time to get a new president when the BRITS are solidly against him, for godssakes.
