Canadian Police Arrest 5 in Biker Deaths
<http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=1826950>

"Canadian police said eight men found dead inside vehicles on a farm over the weekend were affiliated with a biker gang, and that five people have been arrested on murder charges.

Police called it "an internal cleansing" of the Bandidos motorcycle gang and said that the eight victims suffered gunshot wounds. The bodies were found Saturday on a farm in Shedden, Ontario, about 90 miles northeast of Detroit."

I guess those people speculating about bikers were right.

1. Geez. That's awful. I say it as a Detroiter.
Who are the "Bandidos?" I know about the Frito Bandidos, but not this gang. Beautiful Ontario, in the countryside? Wow. More awful details to come, I am sure.

3. I don't know a lot about the affiliations of the different gangs...
But last week the President of the Bridgeport Connecticut Hell's Angels Roger (Bear) Mariani was shot off his motorcycle and killed in West Haven,Ct...Also 2 angels were arrested with a carload of weapons within 100 yards of the home of the President of the Enfield CT chapter of the Outlaws....Not sure but the June, Laconia NH motorcycle rally, about 50 miles from here,MAY get interesting.....

4. Obviously the bandidos are not a social club to be trifled with.

5. The Bandidos originated in Texas in the 60s, if this is the same bunch.
They are indeed not to be trifled with.

6. Here is my question for bikers
OK you all say you are "free spirits" or "outlaws" or "follow your own code" but yet you all bow down to the club. You must do as the club says. How is that doing your own thing? How are bikers not followers?

I asked this of my biker friend who must spend every single holiday at the clubhouse and not choose to do what he wants - Vigilantes of Detroit.

7. uh, not every biker belongs to a club.
some of us would rather ride alone than with a couple of buddies, not to mention a whole club. and for some bikers, the club is their family. it's a give/take relationship, you have to put up with some shit, but you can rest assured, that if ANYBODY fucks with you, your brothers WILL have your back, right or wrong, no questions asked. the downside is you having to answer the call of your brothers when THEY need you to have their backs. it ain't for everybody.

if you need help understanding the biker club dynamic, read Hunter Thompson's Hells Angels, you'll learn a lot.

8. An injury to one is an injury to all?
Something like that. We need some radical groups to actually implement that principle. Always thought so.

9. I did read that book
And was more bewildered after reading then before reading it. My brothers ride "bikes" but are not bikers. I guess we are just a family of independent people. It was bad enough our mother wanted us to follow her rules without other peoples rules. I guess I don't get the bike club mentality at all.
