Report Raises New Questions on Bush, WMDs

"The Washington Post reported that a
Pentagon-sponsored team of experts determined in May 2003 that two small trailers were not used to make biological weapons. Yet two days after the team sent its findings to Washington in a classified report, Bush declared just the opposite.

"We have found the weapons of mass destruction," Bush said in an interview with a Polish TV station. "We found biological laboratories."

1. why does the local RW radio gas bag keep saying there were 3
reports and TWO said the "mobile labs" were for real, while only this third one, "the minority," said they were nothing, so there nyah nyah, case closed. what is he talking about? I have been busy for the past few days and am not as well-informed as I should be right now.

2. It's arguing that fresh info from a field report wasn't good enough.
Don't hold the presses on revealing 'we found the WMD', it's unanalyzed intelligence, you don't change a joint agency assessment on outdated information just because you have fresh information coming in that hasn't been through the identical vetting process. (!!!!)

I feel like we're back to not asking for FISA warrants for 9/11 attackers all over again.

3. I remember the fateful Colin Powell presentation on the "bio-trailors"
I remember watching Powell that day and the silly
visual presentation they supplied him with.
I remember thinking to myself,
"They must be joking...do they REALLY expect
people to believe this?"
They showed visuals akin to the drawings
provided to passengers on airplanes in case of emergencies
and I could not help but wonder how in the
hell they had deduced, from the silly illustrations and
satellite photos they presented, that they were
mobile bio labs...
Incredible.
