Bush visits former President Ford
RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. - President Bush paid a visit Sunday to the ailing
former President Ford at his home in this resort town where Bush was spending the weekend.

Ford and his wife, Betty, were waiting with smiles outside their low-slung stucco home, which overlooks a golf course, as Bush's limousine pulled into the circular driveway. Bush gave Mrs. Ford a kiss on the cheek and had a handshake for the Republican former president.

Ford then linked his arm into Bush's and led him inside the home here near Palm Springs in the California desert.

The visit, conducted out of public view and kept under wraps until the last minute, could be the last time Bush would see the oldest living former commander in chief. Ford, 92, was hospitalized with pneumonia for 12 days in January and has not been seen much in public of late.

9. My choice $1
Liibby.

My choice #2

Rove, pardoned as soon as he's indicted.

Watch. All on the grounds of "national security."

Watch.

Mark my words.

11. You're probably right
He'll pardon 'em before they hit the prison door.... just like Cap Weinberger. And Rove's trial will probably take a few years...

13. #3 Ken Lay, if convicted.
I agree 100% with #'s 1 & 2. If Cheney is indicted, it will be an immediate pardon (after he resigns), on humanitarian grounds, because of his health. Imagine!

Health? Hell, Cheney wears mortician's rouge and a backless-suit. Tell me he ain't healthy!

Ford replaced Agnew, who then pardoned Nixon. History, rinse, repeat.

7. Hoping he dies soon, so they can have a week of pomp to divert
attention from the scandals being exposed.
If Ford dies, they would have all the ceremony they had with Raygun.
The media would be tied up with the funeral for weeks.
