Bush hits new low in CNN poll

(CNN) -- Most people like Condi. It's those other guys that are making the Bush administration look bad, according to a recent poll.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was the only one of five senior White House officials, including the president, who earned a favorable rating from more than half the people who responded to the CNN poll conducted by Opinion Research Corp.

Fifty-seven percent of respondents had a favorable opinion of Rice. (Watch how floundering ratings prompted a White House makeover -- 2:00)

President Bush finished an unpopular second in the poll, while also having the highest unfavorable rating. Forty percent of those polled had a favorable view of the president, but another 57 percent had an unfavorable opinion. Only 2 percent said they had no opinion about him. All the respondents had heard of him.

Thirty-three percent of respondents had an unfavorable view of presidential adviser Karl Rove, and 18 percent viewed him positively. At least he can hide in relative anonymity; 25 percent of respondents said they hadn't heard of Rove, and another 24 percent said they had no opinion of him.
