WASHINGTON - The United States rejects Iran's offer to allow a watchdog agency to inspect the country's nuclear facilities and will press ahead for U.N. penalties against Tehran, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Sunday.


"They've had plenty of time to cooperate. I think they're playing games," Rice said.

Iran on Saturday offered to allow inspections to resume if the Security Council turned over the dispute to the U.N. nuclear monitor, the International Atomic Energy Agency.

A report from the IAEA confirmed that Iran had successfully produced enriched uranium and defied the Security Council's Friday deadline to stop the process.

Rice said the offer to resume IAEA inspections suggests the Iranians "are indeed somewhat concerned" about actions the Security Council might take to further isolate Iran.

We pronounced their regime part of the 'axis of evil', and a candidate for the crime we visited on Iraq.

We have consistently refused to negotiate directly with the Iranians.

We have rejected all offers for full and open inspection of their nuclear operations.

We have rejected without consideration their call for a mid east nuclear free zone to bring all nations in the region into parity.

We will demand the UN act as we deem appropriate, and when it doesn't we will arrogantly declare the UN irrelevant (again) and proceed to buy another coalition of the billing (credit Dan Schorr) and move to overt hostilities against the Iranian people.

Meanwhile our efforts have become transparent to all other great powers, especially Russia and China, who are aware that we intend to occupy and control the major oil fields of the planet for our advantage in the Oil Wars that are now being waged alongside the Peak Oil economic crisis.

We are marching to disaster with a leader who's a deliberate willfull ignorant dunce. We are marching to disaster as surely as the powers of Europe in 1914, blind to the real consequences, marched their nations into the hell of the first world war. Iraq is just foreplay, a minor skirmish in what lies ahead.
