Chicago Gang Graffiti Showing Up In Iraq

http://cbs2chicago.com/local/local_story_121103636.html

CBS) Graffiti painted by Chicago gangs is showing up in Iraq.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports the graffiti shows the increasing gang activity in the Army. Military leaders are concerned some soldiers may be supplying gangs at home.

Some gangs encourage their members to join the Army to learn urban warfare techniques and teach other members.

Chicago police have reportedly seen evidence of gangs getting help from soldiers, and the FBI visited Army bases to check into gang activity

My Take: One way to be one up in the gang fight. Since many cops learn to behave like Liberators in the military why not the gang-bangers

1. That's magnificent!
We're "fighting them there" so that we don't have to "fight them here."

But now it appears that we'll get to fight them there and fight ourselves here!

Maybe Halliburton can secure the no-bid Chicago reconstruction contract?

This is JUST the beginning.

How long before we have a domestic insurgency?

4. Doesn't the bible say something like:
the wages of sin is (sic) death?

Mind you now, I am no bible thumper. But there is some wisdom found in it, and I think it applies here. If you make war unjustly on your fellow man, there will be a downside later.

Here's the downside I guess.

15. Because, realistically, most of the lower level thugs aren't making the
big bucks, only a few at the top of the foodchain are. From some of the reports I've seen, they'd be better off financially working for minimum wage somewhere. This way, they get to learn about guns, shoot up some stuff, and then have some valuable experience that they can sell to the highest bidder back home.

19. i'm sure
that some are also setting up networks to move contraband in both directions through military transport systems, too.

there was a big trafficking problem during viet nam, but the "gang" frameworks weren't strong enough to take big advantage of it.

now they are.

20. Just think of all those billions of dollars worth of money and equipment
that has gone "missing". Who knows where that stuff is turning up? I don't think it'd be too far of a stretch for it to start showing up on American streets. Heck, the gangbangers even sign up as cops in Chicago. I've heard stories of cops getting busted all the time because of their 'banger connections. Makes me scratch my head, can't imagine doing it myself, but I understand their logic. Training, connections, and a "front" for their real intentions and not making too bad of a salary while they're at it.

waiting for processing.

then there's the recreational needs of all those troops pinned down in fortified positions for weeks on end...the cong got us cambodian red and heroin, but those enterprising 'bangers will be distributing E for downtime, and meth for when they need to be extra alert!

to ship it off to allow the "Great Satan" to enjoy it and use the money to fund your Jihad. It's just business after all.

41. Drop in the bucket when you compare that to the unbelievable amounts of
opium that Afghanistan now is producing. We want the opium to "just go away" so we throw a little bit of money at it and hope that somehow that will make all of the Afghanis suddenly decide to throw away the fortunes they'll make by producing opium. Which isn't going to happen, but at least we can say that we tried something.

We have a full blown narco-state coming into its own and we have no idea and/or no will to attack that problem on top of everything else. The taliban are taking advantage of the instability and greed/need for money to fund their operations. They're going to just get bigger and bigger until they are worse than when we knocked them out of power. I'm guessing that the drug money will bring the Taliban back to power, just a matter of when.

connected airline flying out of Uzbekistan that dates back to the Iran-Contra days that is still in operation. If I'm recalling right, I think it had ties to our pal Richard Armitage.
