Blackwell Wins GOP Nod for Ohio Governor

By JULIE CARR SMYTH Associated Press Writer
© 2006 The Associated Press

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell won the GOP nomination for governor Tuesday after campaigning as the best candidate to deliver his party from a year of political scandals and infighting.

The Republicans' woes, along with Ohio's role as the deciding state in the last presidential election, turned the primary into a closely watched barometer of voter dissatisfaction and whether it could lead to political upheaval in November.

"The Republicans have a problem," said Carl Rullmann, a GOP voter who said he supported Blackwell.

With 90 percent of precincts reporting, Blackwell had 421,337 votes, or 56 percent, compared with 325,162, or 44 percent, for Attorney General Jim Petro.

1. How many of Petro's votes will move to the (D) column in the GE?
I guess that's the $64,000.00 question....

2. How Many "D" votes will Move into the "R" Column After They Are Cast?
That is an easy one. As many as he needs to make it look good.

Last Fall, he turned a landslide for US into a landslide for THEM.
This Fall, he intends to install himself as Ohio's next governor.

3. Blackwell and Harris.
Is it wrong to imagine them hanging from the same poisonous tree?

4. The Big Question Is....
Will he somehow win in November. I say there is no way that the point man in King george's '04 victory, will lose this election. He'll get his payback, and nothing the dems will be able to do to stop it.

As the previous poster said, they'll switch just enough to make it look legit. Another 51-48% final tally, and so it goes. Welcome to Amerika.

9. My guess is that it will move even further to Strickland
The national press is beginning to smell illegal electioneering by the religious right and it's going to end up in court. And they're guilty as hell. One group, aligned with Focus on the Family, has been holding "voter education" meetings across the state, and giving out some bogus award to Blackwell at every one of them. Under the law, they are not allowed to promote any candidate, and there's reams of video of these clear and blatant violations of the law.

By election time, it will be the fundies against everyone else. Admittedly, Ohio has more than its share of wackos, but assuming the votes get counted correctly, I think Blackwell is going to get blown out of the water.

12. 49 to 51. Sound familiar? Wake up, sheeples. They're rigging the vote.
Do not kid yourself. Is it really so hard to believe? Why? Harder than the bungling of Katrina? The cover up of 9/11? Harder than a war on lies? Harder than Collin Powel saying "They made me say all the bad words.'?

Is it so hard to believe they write the software to control the "results?"

When will we realize we're being used?

When will we admit it to ourselves?

Read Mark Crispin Miller's new book Fooled Again. It's all in there.

Our democracy is lost. This is fascism.

Welcome to eternal war for profit.

18. And harder than hacking into
the Pentagon computer system, which someone did a few days ago?

Election fraud can happen. And it HAS been happening. And it has been happening BIG TIME in Ohio.

15. I agree. But a large margin in the polls come election day...
will make contrary election results look odd.

If the polls say: Strickland 54%, Blackwell 43% and Blackwell wins, the "jigs up", so to speak.

20. How rich
"as the best candidate to deliver his party from a year of political scandals and infighting."

The fucker was one of the main culprits of corruption and vote tampering the world has ever seen. If he gets elected, there is no tomorrow for Ohio--the pukes have won in that state, and more will follow suit.
