Secret Service records of Abramoff visits to White House will be incomplete

WASHINGTON — The White House said Tuesday the list the Secret Service has been ordered to release concerning convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff's contacts with the Bush administration will be incomplete.

But spokesman Scott McClellan declined to say what is wrong with the Secret Service list, why it is inaccurate and whether it includes far fewer meetings than took place.

"I don't know exactly what they'll be providing, but they only have certain records and so I just wouldn't view it as a complete historical record," McClellan said.

...

Judicial Watch believes the records "could show the frequency and length of Abramoff's White House visits, thereby shedding some light on the nature of the relationship between Jack Abramoff and Bush administration officials."

2. Are they going to say that the SS is just "sloppy" and

incompetent or are they going to admit that "certain" records are "shredded" as just SOP? Either way, the SS is becoming far more politicized than ever before. I guess it isn't surprizing...

8. Maybe Osama is camped out in the Blue Room
To hear them tell it, the SS could hardly be held accountable for that.

9. I think insinuating the SS is sloppy would be a big mistake!
I friend of mine is an agent, he even had Cheney detail for a while. They are a very exacting group of people, and they sure wouldn't take kindly to THAT kind of criticism!

I know they're far too professional than to slack off on their job, but it's like the CIA...a group of people you really don't want to pi** off!

10. Does your friend know why they didn't move Bush from the school on 9-11?
Have you ever asked him why he wasn'r rushed into safety when we were presumable under attack and he was in a publicised location?

12. I've never asked that question. I recognize there are a lot of things he
is not permitted to answer, and I try to steer clear of asking direct questions like that. I suspect he wouldn't be able to answer that anyway. As I said, he was on the Cheney detail for quite a while, but not Shrub, as far as I know.

Oh I know they are presently shredding them to protect this creature from the light of day.

4. shocking
we know Jack visited Punky McMonkey at least 200 times. So there might be more comjugal visits, no one will ever know. Once again the dog ate their homework. That must be one constipated dog.

Universally, they embarrass themselves by not having any evidence to back up their claims. That seems to be the number one characteristic of republicans.

6. We, the tax paying Americans, own that house - I think they should
post the logs online, if they are using card readers, it should be pretty simple to do. Why do we always have to fight for an open government that we can monitor? They work for us damnit!

11. Who here, truly, is surprised?
When I heard that they were to turn over the logs by May 10th my gut reaction was "yeah, right - so they have 7 days to purge the records of incriminating evidence".

The BS never stops, and I'm getting physically and emotionally tired.

17. Nah, not incompetence -- national security!
See, just utter the phrase that pays, and all your problems vanish thanks to a compliant judiciary and a supine fourth estate. Keep digging into it, and you're only helping the terrorists.

At least, that's what I've heard. Over and over and over again.

Tom Mazur, a Secret Service spokesman, declined to comment on why the agency's records might be less than complete.
McClellan previously has said that Abramoff's only contacts with the administration were "a few staff-level meetings" and attendance at Hanukkah receptions in 2001 and 2002.

There will be a correlation between the dates Dubya was in the White House and the dates they have no record of visits?
