House approves plan to put nuclear screeners at 22 seaports by next year

CAPITOL HILL The Bush administration says it may not have enough money to screen the cargo at all 22 major U-S seaports. Even so, the House has approved a plan to run all cargo through nuclear hazard detectors by next year.

Only two members voted against the measure, wrapping up months of debate over port security. But a chief advocate admits even more work needs to be done.

The Homeland Security Department currently opens six percent of the (m) millions of cargo containers that come through U-S ports every year. A spokeswoman says agents already plan to use radiological screening on 65 percent of the goods by October.

see which ports are protected, and smuggle that dirty bomb in through an unprotected port, 'cause everyone knows Arabs and Muslims are morans.

I mean, it's not like these people gave us modern math, beautiful architecture, and a whole range of other achievements in the arts and sciences.
