Cheney meets with Croatian president; cuts day off his trip
DUBROVNIK, Croatia Vice President Cheney is wrapping up an overseas visit in Croatia.

Cheney also stopped in Lithuania and Kazakhstan as part of a tour of countries making the post-Cold War transition toward democracy.

The vice president was supposed to return home Monday but will return home tomorrow instead. His spokeswoman says he just wants to get home.

8. Yup. Maybe a few of them just want to get home too.
But they don't have a "spokeswoman".

3. If Cheney ain't in his snake pit, he gets all antsy.
Must suck living a life of constant paranoia. Cheney deserves all the miserable things that happens to him, he is (afterall) an evil SOB.

4. `````In oil-rich Kazakhstan, Cheney met````````
In oil-rich Kazakhstan, Cheney met with opponents of that country's president. Cheney's spokeswoman says he assured them that the U-S will continue to support political and economic reform.

5. So what country/countries is he insulting by cancelling visits/meetings?
The article doesn't indicate with whom he was scheduled to meet and for what purposes all day Sunday, but you know a lot of people went to a lot of trouble to accomodate him and his myriad bodyguards, personal medical team, etc. This is Cheney's version of Barbara Bush's dismissive "I'm through with you!"

6. Did you get that "I'm through with you!" from Al Frankin's story?
I remember splitting a gut laughing when Al Frankin (AAR) was relating his first meeting with Ma Barker "Babs" Bush in the First Class Section of an Airline. The part where she, in essence, dismissed him like a little shoe shine boy really cracked me up.

9. Hmmm, maybe he is heading back because
the truth about Goss's resignation is going to come out on Monday. Makes sense to me, he has to be back to try and be the fixer while holding baby bush's hand.

10. Oh, Great...I'll be in Dubrovnik in 3 days!
I promise as a GOOD American ambassador that I'll try to make up for whomever he insulted and show the Croatians we're not all savage birdshot busters.

Croatia is a REALLY Catholic country...like many in Latin America. Maybe Dick is running home because all those nuns and priests remind him that God doesn't like murderers much.
