U-S government to vet Wesley Clark testimony at Hague court
AH, SWEET GOVERNMENT CENSORSHIP----------What Bushco. doesn't want you to see or hear:
------------------------

The Hague, Netherlands-AP -- When former NATO commander Wesley Clark
testifies in the war crimes trial of former Yugoslav strongman
Slobodan Milosevic (sloh-BOH'-dahn mee-LOH'-shuh-vich), Americans
might not hear all the details.

That's because the U-S government will have the opportunity to censor parts of the closed-door testimony before it's released to the public.

The U-N tribunal for Yugoslavia says the retired general and
Democratic presidential candidate will testify on December 15th and
16th in the Netherlands trial.

At that time, public galleries will be closed. The broadcast system
that normally transmits proceedings on the Internet and closed-
circuit T-V will be shut down. And there's a 48-hour delay to let the U-S government review transcripts of the testimony and seek the
court's consent to censor parts of it on grounds of national security..........continued......

4. What's the matter?
The bushies* afraid of a little good publicity for General Clark? I guess any publicity about Clark is bad news for them.

My guess is that this will be the best Cut and paste job since the Powell United Nations presentation.

6. I got $10 says that if
there's anything, and I mean anything that makes Clark appear less than sterling, this particular US gubberment will deem it "not harmful to national security" to show. Repeatedly.

7. Ahhhh, but the bright light here is that the US government has to....
seek the court's consent to keep it out of the public eye. They must PROVE that it is a national security issue. Remember, this court is an INTERNATIONAL court, not a US one, and seeing as Bush has come out against the ICC one has to wonder how favorable this court will be to the Bush cabal?

8. Good point!
Bush might have to threaten to cut funding for some country or other in order to get his way.

9. That's so funny - as if any of them
would have the foggiest idea what did or did not happen - you're right - it will probably amount to which one of these is the best picture and make sure it is shut down for national security.
