New García Victory Expected in Peru

(Angus Reid Global Scan) – Many Peruvian voters will support Alan García of the American Revolutionary People’s Alliance (APRA) in next month’s run-off, according to a poll by Universidad de Lima. 61.9 per cent of respondents would vote for the former head of state in the ballot. Ollanta Humala of the Union for Peru (UP) would finish second with 38.1 per cent.

I don't like or trust Humala, but García was a VERY corrupt and inept President of Perú. I certainly think it would be better (or at least not as bad) if they gave the chance to Humala. They probably won't though...
