Fire bomb thrown at US consulate in Thailand

BANGKOK, Nov 20 (Reuters) An unidentified man on a motorcycle lobbed a Molotov cocktail into the grounds of the US consulate in the northern Thai town of Chiang Mai, but no one was hurt and there was no damage, Thai police said today.

US officials said there had been no change in the consulate's security arrangements following the attack last evening.

Police said consulate security guards had extinguished the fire and they were hunting for the attacker, but there was no indication the attack was politically motivated. (snip/...)
